A 4ft leopard for your living room (if you've got £12,000 in the kitty)

Wonderful looking but yet another designer breed, I dont like this at all.
-
If I had 12 grand I would buy it in a heartbeat, take it outside and see what that Ginger bully makes of it plus not to mention that annoying Yorky dog over the road!!!!
-
Clearly I think its just fab but appreciate I will be in the minority ;)
-
Ssdly there are too many people with more money than sense and buy it for the shock reaction. I dont agree with GM crops and nor with fiddled kitties >:(

You and me both matey :shy: Don't think Zephyr would be very impressed though :evillaugh:

This is the person who developed the 'hypoallergenic' cats - if you look at the website you can just pop one of these cats into your shopping cart. >:( - like buying a piece of designer jewellery >:(

I've already commented on this cat in this thread. I think he/she is stunning, but appreciate there isn't really any need to create more breeds of cats - nature's quite capable without us interfering.
-
When I get one in rescue I will let you all know.
-
One things for certain, these beauties will never end up occupying space in Paws Inn; my pens are too small so is my house for that matter.
-
I reckon Bilbo Balboa would kick its ass :evillaugh:
-
:evillaugh: Carl
Stunning feline Sam.
I'll stick with my yearning for its relatives though :)

I'm with you - except when it comes to seedless grapes! Gotta love those! ;)
-
I never realised seedless grapes were modified
bleugh i could never eat a grape with seeds in them
-
Could you have it like a normal pet???
-
some people probably do specialred esp in countries where the wild animal acts are more relaxed, however they would be nothing like looking after a normal cat and be very high maintenance, probably bond specifically with its owner or carer and could be quite timid other wise.
With the servals you can then go on to get a savannah which is basically the asian leopard / bengal equivelant.
-
But could I let it out unsupervised in England????
I dont agree that there does not need to be more cats. If there was only a few types it would be boring. I think people have that stance as there are alot of cats out there with no homes. I would be quite interested to see what those people opinions would be like if every cat had a home. Also there are people on here with those cute little bengals, so if they did not exists but tomorrow someone posted a link to a new breed called bengal, would people say the same??????

Dont worry, hun, I am 99% certain they are selectively bred*, not genetically modified - I will double check...
*Yep ;D

That will never happen. :(

Yeah and i cant see that changing.

I still wouldnt agree with engineering a cat for profit
-
Sadly, I dont think any of us on here will see a situation where every cat had a home, although we can dream!! I still wouldnt agree with creating new breeds, it isn't like there are only a few types of cats, there are a lot of breeds already out there. And certainly not engineering a cat breed, that isn't what breeding is supposed to be about.

I'd probably say what I said about this one, that it's stunning but there are already more than enough cats in the world that need loving homes.
I dont agree that there does not need to be more cats. If there was only a few types it would be boring.
But there aren't, are there? There are numerous breeds already, not to mention the fact that each moggy is generally pretty different from the next one. There's no need to "engineer" another one - I personally feel that's just man trying to tailor another animal to suit what he feels are his requirements.
