Saw an ad in the pet shop the other day, a lady rehoming 2 half persian kittens (5 months old) and an adult female full persian. I've been trying to get hold of her so I could at least get them done before they were rehomed........sadly the two younger ones have gone :tired: She still has the older one, she is 4 years old and unspayed so I was hoping to get her sorted out. She phoned me this morning to say to was brushing her last night and she thinks she is pregnant as she's now got a bump :tired: I'll be going over shortly and if she's not too far gone, she'll be getting booked in to be done. I came clean with the owner and explained why I had contacted her and she was quite happy for me to take her to the vets and get a home for her ;)
There was also another ad but I missed out. A lady was rehoming kittens at 6 weeks old and again I was going to try and get her to keep them until they were 8 weeks but they were snapped up >:( >:( Anyway after a stroppy conversation with her, she has agreed to let me get the mum spayed when her milk has dried :)

I just don't understand people, I really don't. >:( Why don't they seem to care what happens to their cats?
-
Im speachless for once :censored:

I have to say, the lady with the persians is lovely. Abby the mum cat is generally an indoor cat and both times she's escaped has been when the lady's mum has been looking after her. She didn't have her spayed as she didn't think she'd need to with her being indoor. The two kittens have actually been homed together and she was put off by one lady who just wanted one of them so she does genuinely love them. I think Abby may be pregnant, her tummy is quite rounded so she's going in for a check up later and she's had a little bit of the runs the last couple of days she said. If she's pregnant, she's about 5/6 weeks gone, this was how long ago she escaped. I'll be finding out where the kittens have gone, funny enough I was talking to someone last night and she was saying her sister had acquired 2 half Persians ;) I'll get some piccies of Abby later, she is a red Persian and soooooo scrummy bless her :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

Abby who is going to be renamed as this name just doesn't suit her, is definitely pregnant :tired: She is fine in herself and Trevor said she's in good condition etc, he's given her an injection and some antibiotics for her upset tummy and said she should be fine. She is absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure there won't be a problem rehoming her or her babies :Luv: :Luv: I will take some piccies later and post ;)

Here's some piccies of the gorgeous Abigail :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: She sticks her tongue out and looks extremely cute :Luv:
-
She is a persian! What a great colour and those eyes wow ;D
-
She is a little cracker :Luv: :Luv: She will probably be ready for rehoming sometime in February, I've already started putting a few feelers out as it would be great to get a home lined up for her in advance.

She is lovely, looks like she has tippy tongue !
Why didnt the women want to keep her ?
-
Her owner hasn't got the time to spend with her. She has recently started her own business which is taking up a lot of her evenings as well as the days. The kittens and Abigail were on their own a lot and they were kept mostly in the kitchen and she didn't think it was fair on them. She did think a lot of them and although they weren't spayed and neutered, she's put their happiness first which is a positive in my eyes.

Abigail hasn't been to the loo today which I'm hoping is a good thing. She had a really poorly tummy after she came back from the vets last night and I'm just hoping it's the upset of her kittens going and the stress of everything else. She seems to have settled in great and as peeps have said, I'm sure she'll be snapped up when the time is right :Luv: :Luv:

She looks shorter haired? Compared to the persians iv met
-
She doesn't have the fluffy "ruff" that my Persians have but how sweet she is :Luv: :Luv:

LOL! Well exotics are, to all intents and purposes, simply shorthaired persians, so she could well be.
-
She may have been clipped around her face because look at the fluffy tail!! :Luv:

I spoke to Ally this morning and she's going to have a chat with her hubbie - fingers crossed :innocent:

Abigail's tummy problems seem to have settled down and she's eating for England. Her owner had her on Whiskas and said she wouldn't really eat dry food, she'd tried her on Go Cat and Whiskas Dry :tired: I've had her on the Royal Canin and her Whiskas so her tummy isn't messed about too much and she's been eating both ;D She's a little sweetheart and quite talkative and I'm sure once she's settled properly her personality will come out :Luv: :Luv:
