Title: Ralphie is a drooler
Post by: jetcleo on October 28, 2007, 20:50:15 PM
Sorry if this seems an odd question but i've not experienced it with my other two so i didn't know why he was doing it.

Basically Ralph is a drooler, he can be sitting on my knee and when he leaps off i have a drool patch on my knee, it's the same when he lays in bed.  It's quite a lbit of drool, at first i thought he was actually peeing on me/in bed but i've watched and have seen water droplets fall from his mouth.  He does mainly do this when he's being stroked and is purring, is it just because he's excited and happy??

Ahhh bless him ... My ginger and white boy Sox (who is now at the rainbow bridge) used to be a drooler as well. he used sit on me and have his eyes half closed, paddle away with his front paws and dribble like a baby

it's definitely sign of complete and utter contentment.

Riley is a drooler too   There was one particular time that I was trying to avoid getting my face smeared with it in bed so I kept turning my head on the pillow to face the opposite way to where he was trying to 'get me' from.  He had the last laugh as a huge droplet dripped into my ear   How can one droplet of dribble feel so 'wet' compared to one droplet of water?!

I've got TWO like this, Jetcleo - Bertie is a proficient soaker of bedding, and when Minnie drools, it's usually into my hair ... niiiiice

I didn't realise there were so many droolers, it was the first time i'd noticed it in any cat so thought there might be something wrong with him
