Title: What exactly is he tryng to tell me !
Post by: lisa77 on October 24, 2007, 19:17:52 PM
Every eve I get in & the 1st thing I do is feed The Lion of the premises !

We then have a little play.. he will get a bit hyper & wonder off into the bathroom or the bedroom. From there he will Loudly meow a few times !

Sometimes I have gone in the bathroom after his 'call' & he will go to the toilet ! He also meows loudly sometimes in the morning & I will walk into the loo & he is having a pooh !

From the bedroom if he is in there I will walk in & always ask him "whats up my little poppet"  (in my soppy Leo voice)  & he will just stand there & stare !

I really don't know what he is trying to tell me!!!  I hope nothing is wrong

I know this doesn't exactly explain Leo's behaviour, but I get bathroom-related weirdness with Bella too ... every time I come out of the shower she sits on the bathroom floor and cries as if she is hysterical, and then follows me around the bedroom meowing while I get dressed ... once we get downstairs, she's fine!  Shame they can't tell us what they're thinking ... actually, on second thoughts, I don't want to know what Bertie's thinking

About his meowing while pooing Lisa, maybe he wants to show you what a whopper he has just produced... :wow: :evillaugh:

Oliver has a strange loo fettish, too, he just wants to get in.  One time he slipped and fell in, and got himself all wet and he didn't like that at all, yet he insists still.  We try to keep the lid closed but when we forget, we often find the tell tale pawprints inside!!  He also gets into the bathtub, sometimes I turn on the water to discourage him, but he doesn't mind too much, he just sort of back off and eventually gets out very calmly, and when I turn off the water he wants to go right back in!!

Aren't they funny?  My cat Dragan always comes to tell me when he has used the litter tray.  Maybe he is saying "clean it please"??

Kylie always use to cry & cower after she did a poo. I assumed she must have been told off somehow by whoever had her before. I used to pet her and tell her what a good girl she was. Now she has no trouble producing stinkers right in front of me  :evillaugh:

Ollie always announces loudly when he's going to use the tray.  I don't know whether he thinks we might want to beat him to it!

Both Misty and Hamish were small room fans ?? follow you in, stand there, and meow !! what do you want ???? "I'd Say"
never did get a reply :-:
Hamish used to take great pleasure rubbing up against my legs, while I was sitting on the throne :evillaugh:
I also remember Misty during one of his "Mad Half Hour's" running full steam about the house while I was
Running a Bath, I was just about to get in when this Mad Furry Beast came bolting into the toilet, Jumped up
onto the dirty washing box, And slid right into the bath :wow:(the water was about 9" deep & very Hot)
And I'm not joking when I say " He got out of there quicker than He got in " only his paws were wet

I wonder if all furbabes go through this curiosity thing with lavys?? for the last ten years I always let the cold
water tap trickle in the Bath and they were just fascinated with it and Hamish would always play with the plug
both of them drank from there more regulary than the water dish, but since Hamish went to the bridge, I don't
let the tap run now and have bought Misty a drinkwell, now he's always got a wet forehead ;D

erm..... I keep litter tray in kitchen under table, and have only heard misty meow once while pooing
me think's it was a stiff one!!

Freddie did likewise when he arrived a year ago and I thought same as Mark. I mentioned it to vet at the time and he said to see how things go and it quickly subsided in a loo related way. Freddie continues to talk often but mainly now when he comes in thru cat flap to say "Hi, I'm home" which is about 20 times every evening until he settles about 10pm.  Err sorry if this is a no-no but ever thought of getting Leo a pal as I thought perhaps having Billy and Tom around helped with Freddie? Having said all that, I get the impression that Leo just has you wrapped around his little finger and is just playing you up  :evillaugh:

My Old Mog always announces she's used the litter tray after doing a pooh. Obviously Leo is very proud he's figured out what his tray's for!
