Title: Post Vaccination Blues?
Post by: carl (billy and baggys dad) on December 09, 2006, 21:02:57 PM
Well we took Billy and Baggy for their boosters and check up today - everything was fine, both are healthy, although Baggins is a bit portly and we were advised to not let him get any bigger.

BUT ... since we got home, both boys have just slept. Neither has eaten, and Bilbo has hidden under the futon for the last few hours. He was terrified in the vets, and his usual reaction when things upset him is to hide under there.

Is this normal, or is it something to worry about? Is their sleepiness just a post stress sort of thing?

Thanks very much for any advice you could give.

Have the same with my boys after their boosters. The boosters are live germ injections but controlled and not like the actual harmful disease. Bet ya they will be back to normal soon. :Luv:

Thanks Tan  :)

He's still under there this morning, although he did sneak out to go to the litter tray suring the early hours. I might call the vet and see what they say ...

Mine were all under the weather when they had their booster. It seemed to affect them all differently - Clapton was the worst but I guess it's because he was already ill. They were fine in a couple of days  :ahh:

When i 1st got Rio & Ochi from CP at nine weeks old, They had just had their vac injection and also were wormed the day before. The day after i took them home they both started limping and very quiet. I took them straight to vets and they said it was a reaction to having the wormer and the vac at the same time. It took a few days before they were lively cheeky boys again.

If there is no sign of them picking up yeap def ring the vet
