Title: It's Swampy's 16th birthday today....and Max is celebrating his 14th too as well

Today is Swampy's 16th birthday. I tried and failed to upload photos of him and Max but am using a mac and have no idea what I'm doing!!!! Tried to email them to Gill and my email account froze so........aaaaaaaaaaah mum is an iTiot!! (hope some photos will follow as Gill and previously Helen sent me instructions which I'm,er, working on  :Crazy:).

However just a year ago, he was home from hospital where he'd spent a week on a drip nearly dying from cholangiohepatitis and I made him a big birthday card, not really expecting him to even see his 15th birthday. His tum was shaved and he was a tiny little scrap of matted brown hair who just slept all day. Gradually he regained his strength. About 6 or 7 months later, he was an elderly gent but basically fine, happy, eating well and just suffering from his cold symptoms. I spend as much time as I can with him though, as every day is precious.  He's been there for me, keeping me happy and company and entertained for all his life and now, as you all know who have had little ones turn into elderlies, it's payback time. The flat is filled with warm places to sleep and all furniture is covered with fleeces in case it takes his fancy for a good snore.....tonight he'll be having some chicken, which he won't chew - it'll go straight down the hatch.  In the last few weeks he's stopped playing and clings to me when I hold him for a purr session. So off to the Man in Green tomorrow to see what he thinks. But we are so blessed to be able to spend his 16th birthday together. The only complaint is "where's my sun?". He'd love to be in France on a sunny balcony having his birthday snooze.

Max aka the MaxSheesh is also celebrating his 14th birthday today and will also be vacuuming the chicken tonight lol. His real birthday was on 17 September but that was the day after we drove all the way back from France, so we were too tired to have a proper kitty birthday feast - so we thought they could celebrate together.  They are currently curled up together on my best IKEA fleecy blanket near me. I just look at them and feel so happy to be with them.

They say a big purr and thank you to everyone on here who helps their neurotic (and IT useless) mum with all their health problems, and a big hello and purr to all the other felines on the forum  :hug:  :hug:

Happy Birthday Swampy and belated Happy Birthday to Max  :wow:  Hope you both have a fab day with lots of extra treats and cuddles.

The boys have decided that the only way to celebrate such a momentus occasion is to hold a mini party in Swampy and Max's honour  :)  I'm sure it's not a patch on the party Swampy and Max will no doubt be having  ;D

Max is right in the party mood as my big lakeland box full of kitchen junk (aka useful stuff I'll never use) arrived lol. Still can't get Swamp to react though; not even to a very tempting white fluffy duster on a pole waved in front of his nose. But he is having a nice bath and washing the Max. Chicken's on the stove so that's on plan.
I've told da Max you all send him happppppppy birthday and will kiss the Swamptum 100 times as he can't hear me  :hug:  :hug: to you all.

Not excactly sure when Misty's Birthday is :doh: But Estimate (going by date of First Visit to the Vet's, cause he had earmite's & Worm's  :sick: )
He was Born around May the 20th 1991

Thank you all! And thanks Helen - the mac must have resized the photos when I emailed them  :Crazy:  :Crazy: wonder why I couldn't post them?!
the boys had a nice quiet elderly party last night :)  Max ate far too much chicken. Swampy didn't, but seems to prefer his processed food. Ah well. They got lots and lots of love and hugs.

seeing as though the mac apparently resizes (??!!!!) am going to try again with one more each - one of the Max looking bonkers that I took and my favourite one of Swampcat from the photographer who took pics of them both earlier in the year. Hope it works! Purrzzzzzzz from them both who are zzzzzzzz in the last sun we're going to have for a while! (anyone else's cats prefer canned sun to outdoor sun?! In South Africa they used to 'retire indoors', causing peeps to say they were definitely English cats! Which they are; both born here although mostly lived in SA and have french passports :) ).

edit: see they got posted as small or thumbnail size..... :P to me yet again.

If pics are posted as 'thumbnails' at the bottom of a post all you need to do is click on the pic to see them at the size they really are, I used photobucket so my pics can be anywhere in the post and don't get any bigger.
