Title: Catflexing - Don't try this at home
Post by: LeighK on October 15, 2007, 12:59:14 PM
Hi folks,

I found this bizare book,

I can just imagine trying this with my lot besides I've not got the figure for a leotard and I'd need a weight lifter's belt  if I tried this with Frankie ;D

Further reading....

One of my favourite quotes "if you don't have a cat see about borrowing from the neighbours"

As the author says "are you ready to Catflex?"  :evillaugh:

Cheers

Leigh

:evillaugh: Don't think I'll be trying that with Max, I value my skin too much.....besides, if you've got to be as skinny as the girl on the front to do it then I've got no chance, especially with all this talk of Wispa bars on the other thread

Look at the name though ..... Cody  :shify:  Lynn, what's your boy been up to this time

:) For some reason, beyond my reckoning, it seems to be in the bargain book section :).

Laughed at the cat dumbells, it'd have to be one of those "world's strongest men" types to pick Frankie up with one hand :) mind you, the chequered hotpants are quite nice  :evillaugh:

I'm off to buy another sheepskin rug in a moment. I bought one some while back for the side of the bed and Frankie and Alfie both love it and take it in turns to sleep on it. It was so funny yesterday, Alfie got there first and monopolised the rug by stretching out to his fullest extent and Frankie, not to be left out, was lying on the carpet with just his head on a corner of the rug :), so I thought they should have one each. When I bought it I remember thinking it'd be nice to have something soft and warm under one's feet when getting out of bed and I do but it's not sheepskin :)

Cheers

Archie's eyes are watering

If I tried those chequered hotpants on it's not only Archie's eyes that would be watering  :evillaugh:

I just bought a double sheepskin rug, that should future proof things for a while but, at the rate that Frankie's growing, not so much a large cat as a small Puma, maybe I should have bought a bigger one. I'll try them out on it tonight when I get home from work.

Another priceless quote from the book "A couple of weeks before beginning your program, I suggest holding your cat in various positions so that it won't be startled"   Yeah Right !. The sight of me in those hotpants might un-nerve them a bit though :)

Cheers

Oliver is certainly not a gym-jock type, every time I start working out he immediately makes himself scarce.  He carries a solid 4kg already at 5months, so if I can get him to cooperate he can be very useful, too :evillaugh:  Perhaps I will get him a pair of boxing gloves for safety precaution before I try though... :sneaky:

Apparently it's been translated in Japanese, now there IS a suprise  ;D

Fancy trying it with an circa 8 Kg Frankie ? :)

I'd not fancy trying press-ups with Frankie on my back :)

Cheers

If I tried that I'd be covered in blood in about 5 seconds flat   Claws and bare skin ... ouch  :shify:

I wouldn't dream of trying it - OH looked at me yesterday and said I looked as though I'd been selfharming as I was so scratched from Xanthe's ideas of "games"! My brother did use my daughter as a weight when she was little though - she quite enjoyed it!

Yes but one'd loose 1lb of weight for ever pint of blood lost, obviously this has a cut-off point :)
