Hi there, are any of you going to the supreme next month? I have never been but am told it will be great..... with lots of things to spend our pennies on!!!!!
-
Yes I think there are gonna be quite a few of us at the Supreme and its suggested that those going, get themdelves a Purrs badge from our shop and wear it proudly ;D
We need to find a place to meet maybe but we will be coming from far and wide so a midday time might be a good idea?
Where are you going to be travelling from?
I will be coming from SW Wales, I know some are coming from the south coast and one from Cambbridgeshire. another I cant remember where she is, North I think.
maybe it a good idea for peeps to say what region they are gonna travel from............all roads lead to Birmingham and loads of cats and cat things ;D ;D ;D
-
Hopefully all going well, I'll be up from London too.
-

You're not that far from me then. I'm travelling up from Ely on the morning of the show (all being well).
Recommended items to take are; comfy shoes, packed lunch and a large bag for one's purchases... :sneaky:
As a meeting place, I'd suggest the household pet section.
-
dont they have somewhere you can eat and sit down?
-
Yes, according to the hall plan. And there is one near the HP section. :evillaugh:
-
That sounds like good planning to me

Witty are Crocs ok? they're the only comfy shoes I have, winter or not... ok so I'll look like a duck but I can live with that!
-
My daughter is a hairdresser and swears her crocs are the most comfy shoes ever.... may have to invest!!
So are we meeting at the food area by hp section at 12noon?
-
I'll be there hopefully ... in my most comfy shoes (and yes they do have 5" heels ;) )
Looking forward to meeting up with Purrs peeps
-
My goodness all this talk of shoes, i will be wearing trainers and normal scruffy clothes    Oh and a Purrs badge!
Actually I am still trying to sort things out to make sure I can get large items back to the car like 2x huge sacks of cat biscuits, if I can get a show deal on them.
Noon at the food place by the HP section sounds like a plan ;D
-
CROCS rule! I wouldn't be without mine, flip flop or clog. Ugly comfort yeeees!
I went to the supreme last year & with the over excitement & exhaustion I ended up collapsing. I wasn't going to be beaten so did the 3rd time round in a mobility scooter & ran several people over!!
Would love to go again this year but the fears of last years event, on my own, is saying no.
If anyone is going I recommend taking a shopping trolley/suitcase to put all your goodies in, instead of carrying. Saw so many lat year doing this.

Whatever's comfy for you, Ruth! ;) I'm hoping to meet you, not your feet!
-
Now this should be good. Witty wants to meet Ruth without her feet
-
:-: I expect someone will allow me to sit on their trolley bag and be wheeled around. Shame... was looking forward to flashing the duck feet :evillaugh:

Most of the shops and stands are happy to keep your purchases behind the counter for you to collect when you go home. I tend to do a big shop first at purrsonal touch and then take it to the car, then if I buy anything else big I tend to collect it at the end of the day.
I will try to look out for everyone around 12 but I'm not sure what time the Somali breed judging will take place and that will be the other end of the hall. But I'm sure I'll bump into purrs peeps at various points during the day if we all wear our badges!
The seating areas within the halls are usually just picnic style tables and benches, and there are never enough of them! There are a few cafes around the edges of the halls, but in general the catering is very poor imo. I used to take a packed lunch but given how early I leave home to get there I usually just take pot luck now (and spend the day moaning to my friend that there should be a starbucks cos I could murder a cappucino).

What I *MEANT* to say was that I don't care what Ruth's feet look like!

Susanne does that mean you can go in and out a number of times on your ticket and use the bus?
My prob is what I want to get will be too heavy for me to carry and get onto the bus, also will be bulky.
I wish they would put some proper info up on their site about all of this.
-
Waste of a good pedicure then! :evillaugh:

Yes. They stamp your hand when you leave so that you can get back in. Although you still have half your ticket to prove you've bought one. They have trolleys and stuff you can put heavy stuff on and I presume you can take those out of the halls too.

Thanks ;D
