I had Harvey at the vets yesterday to be denutted. Don't worry eveything went well and he was able to come home on the school run. The thing is I thought they were supposed to be lethargic and sleeping for a while. Not Harvey. NOOOOOOO. He was bouncing around like he'd never been under. I was so hoping for a quite night too. :rofl:

Same here with Mosi - I was counting on a restful evening and a good night's sleep but it was not to be :innocent:

Same here last week. Got them home, opened the carrier and both ran out skidded across the kitchen floor to where their food bowls usually are. Kept jumping onto the worktop whilst I was cooking their fishy dinner. Then spent the evening jumping on the sofa, running around and generally acting like nothing had happened. Sleepy, you must be joking!!!

Hmmm, 24 hours later, Polly was climbing the curtains :tired:. She's due to go back this afternoon to have her stitches out, but I found one in her bed this morning :sneaky:

& I have it all to come ! Plus Leo will be having his mole removed at the same time ! so he will have ikkle stitches on his cheek :-[

I had the same when Freddy was done !
Norm my cats come back tired and wobbly on their legs but OH NO NOT HIM !!
He was soooooo hyper, running round the hose like a lunatic.
I asked my vet about it and he said it is the pain relief they are injected with, sometimes it sends them hyper.

Bertie has never loved me as much as when he had a morphine injection last Christmas ... he literally spent two days following me around the house gazing at me and purring.

The only time I got a quiet night was when they all got stoned on catnip. They got into the bag I had and it was all over the hall carpet :rofl: it was peaceful that night

No such luck here ... Bella gets silly on catnip and Bertie gets paranoid - he sits in the corner yowling and fighting with things that aren't there :rofl:

Hobbes ended up on top of the wardrobe in the middle of the night after he'd been "done" and kept me awake most of the night running round like a mad thing :Crazy:

I have to say that I have yet to get a cat back after neutering who was quiet and sleepy. Groggy, yes!, incapable of standing, yes. But quiet?!! Never!! It is a myth put about by optimists. I have had cats who were so drugged up they could not see past their noses trying to jump onto and off high furniture, I have had cats trying their darndest to push through the wall alongside the cat flap. It is a myth, a lie and an exercise in hypocrisy to tell people these things I tell you :rofl: :rofl:

Yep, all of mine have been incredibly perky after being neutered ... Bella had removed all of her stitches within three hours of getting home so it can't have hurt that much!! Took her for jabs a couple of weeks ago and was warned she might sleep for hours afterwards ... three hours later she'd duffed up Bertie and Minnie, emptied my handbag and eaten a spider plant.

When the boys had the snip-n-chip Guinness bounced everywhere but Widget was so sleepy and off colour I was worried for a couple of days. Needless to say after 48 hours he was racing around again like normal :evillaugh:

That was what I was expecting :rofl: Was not expecting to come back to check on him and finding the kitchen table in a mess and my ornament knocked off the window sill in the livingroom :rofl:
