i miss jasper!!!!!!
i dont know, not looking too seriously, but i miss jasper soooooo much. cant believe how much i miss hugging him and stroking him and everything. its painful!
i know i cant really get one here.... cos of going home for 3 weeks at christmas. and i in no way want to replace my boy - i couldnt. but i miss him!!!!!!!!!
just had to tell someone..... to stop me looking at any more ads!!!!! :scared:
-
I can't imagine living without a cat. I had to do it for six months when I first got here and it was horrid. I love having them around, and the way they interact with you and being able to stroke them and get that motor running. You never replace a cat that you love. But you must always have a cat. Without them, life is not worth living - it is just subsisting.
-
they do make a house a home i reckon. is so hard leaving him behind. and it all gets and feels worse because i get so stressed up here... and they're just so good at helping that. bllomin things. i truly cant imagine how people can not like them!!!!
after suzie died i really wasnt ready for another cat for some time, but then i got jasper and i cant believe i managed so long without a cat!!! i love the photos my parents send me but it aint the same. and you can just never get lonely when theres a cat around i think. :shy:

very true. When I lived in Sydney I was not used to living alone, without animals, and nearly went crazy. Bob was my saving grace :Luv:

Is there a rescue nearby who need cat cuddlers?

Is there a rescue nearby who need cat cuddlers?
Or indeed fosters?

Love the term "cat cuddler" I think I'll add it to my CV, might be of more use than all my other qualifications and experiences and also sounds much more fun than the four years I spent getting my degree which I've only ever used once and I don't even know where the certificate went :) and, if I'm being totally honest, I don't particularly care where it went :)
Cheers

I'd recommend it Hannah, I got every other Saturday to the blue cross I really enjoy it
-
 Hannah I know how you feel, after Bob went to the bridge I could not belief how much I missed him and his ways the house was not the same. Then I did what you are doing and told myself I was only looking as I needed a cat fix (every cat in the area seemed to have disappeard). Saw Max with his grumpy old face and thought oh here we go again...............
-
;D top cat cuddler here!!!!
i've had a look around a bit but i dont think i can find anywhere too near by. quite like the idea of fostering, or looking after little ones just for a couple of weeks if needed - though i'd hate saying goodbye!!!
then there is the problem of xmas - not sure if when fostering i'd be able to say oh i cant at that time - what if a little one was here and had to go back to a cage!
dont know, i've found it hard to get info on doing such things up here, the CP page is a bit useless to be honest. but i do like the ideas ;D
(ps my jasper baby isnt at the bridge, he's at home with my parents while i'm at stinky uni. is still very difficult though)
thanks everyone

You could try CatChat for rescues, they have a very comprehensive list. And any help is better than no help. As long as you make it clear you wouldn't be able to at Christmas, I'm sure they'd take it into consideration.
I'd recommend it Hannah, I got every other Saturday to the blue cross I really enjoy it
And yes, it really is one of the best things in the world. Definately provides a good cat-fix

Sorry got a bit mixed up :slap:

ok, i have sent off an application for PAWSS, aberdeen.
they seem a bit unusual though - not sure where they are based. but could be a private adress i guess.
ok, going to see if i can find anywhere else.
to be honest i'm not at all sure they'll want me as a fosterer. i'm a student in a student town, not generally thought of as responsible i guess (even though i totally am when it comes to little ones!) but hey, we shall see!!!! :)
-
At ours, you get handed a poop scoop and shown to the litter trays. That soon sorts the real cat people from the kitten fanciers ;)!
I'm sure they'll seen you've taken the time to find them and they can always do a home check.
Good luck but watch out, rescue is addictive! ;D

PAWS is a small homebased rescue http://www.pawss.org.uk/

Theres 2 branches of cpl in and around aberdeen aswell hannah or........... i could long term loan you sebastian pain in the neck or peuky fraser :sneaky: :evillaugh:
Oooooooooooo yes and cody's first mum has some curly youngsters i believe :sneaky:
-
i'm not sure i could manage to keep seb in!!!
and i would adore a curly baby, but my budget would not i imagine!!!
oh dear - the woman from pawss just emailed me back asking me to go to some open day thing.... i hate things like that. and now i feel if i dont go i'm just another person that doesnt actually follow through an offer, but if i do go and then cant help i'll feel awful.
and for the 1st time in 4 years at uni i think i'm going home mid term (to see my mum who'll be mid treatment then)
i feel disappointed and a disappointment already!!
oh dear :'(
