Hi,
:thanks: for all your kind comments, They are so cute at the moment and i'm really looking foward to them growing up :Luv: :Luv:
I'm still having a problem introducing my labrador called Honey :( every time they come face to face the kittens hiss and get really scared, they also scrached her when she once got too close, the kittens are so small i don't want to risk leaving them in the same room together, has anyone had any experience with dogs and kittens? :-:
-
from the sound of that I fear for Honey
-
yep I agree, Honey will be a lovebundle to these wee kittens so let them spend as much time together as you can spare to supervise. Like i said, when Smidgen finally decided to come home yesterday, he assumed complete control of the big kennel (there are two as Shadow does not fit into the smaller one) and left Shadow out in the rain. Dogs know that they are subservient to cats, that;'s why they chase them if the cats run. It is the only time they have the upper hand.
-
:thanks: for the helpful advise blackcat i really appreciate it, I'm sure they will get used to each other in time :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
I've had a bit of a drama tonight as Ive just returned from the vets (again, i was only there yesterday) as Twinkle has been passing blood in her stools today and as a first time kitten owner I was a bit concerned, the vet has reassured me and given her some antibiotics, she says its colitis, just gave her her antibiotics and lets just say she wasn't impressed! >:( Star was pleased to see her when she came back as i think she thought Twinkle had abandoned her because my husband said she was meowing and looking around a lot when we were gone :Luv:
-
never a dull moment with animals in the house
-
Thats very true!, they may be hard work and make us worry but their worth it :Luv: :Luv:
p.s So glad Smidgen's home safely ;D
-
me too :Luv: and now he has decided it is time to lie still once more, I think I will take the opportunity to go to bed... :nite:
