hi all,
we would love a new kitten (or 2) but the problem is our dogs, we don't know how they will react :(
normally if they see a cat they bark at them but when we had T.C they did the same and they used to chase T.C too but they didn't try to hurt him
but we are worried just in case the dogs do hurt a kitten with it being small and prob fluffy
does anyone know what we can do to stop it?
when we first bought the dogs home they were fine with T.C but that was prob cause he was in the house first and gave them all a good swipe across the nose lol

Or you could get an adult(s) cat who are ok with dogs and be able to stand up for themselves and gain the rightful feline authority :evillaugh:

there is a similar thread elsewhere runing parallel to this one, but, as I said on the other one, you need to introduce them through a barrier that neither can pass but which allows smelling and vision. A screen door with a strong grille is best. Keep the cat on one side, the dog on the other and stroke the cat, while talking calmly and continually to the dog. Repeat as often as is necessary. Our dog who hated cats with a passion, finally learnt that there were our cats, and other cats. She still chased other cats, but shared food with our cats. It takes time, patience and a level head.
