OK ive come to the conclusion that Leo is a very vocal kitty !
At 1st he was meowing when I went out of the room. Now its even if im out of his sight !
I don't know if he is trying to tell me something ? Or is he simply chatting with nothig wrong with him. Its a different mewo to when he wants his din dins & HE IS GETTING QUITE LOUD ! I dont mind at all & dont particually care what my neighbours think!! (different story) He also has another little chirpy noise when he is playing.. so all 3 noises are different !
I dont suppose I should be worried but would be interested to other Coony owners to compare noises !!!!

Out of the Clan Cats 36 we have about 14 talkers and they all have different expressions and sounds and it is lovely but not at 2 in the morning!!!
Cheif talkers are the girls Sweetie and Minmin but a couple of the boys snore and sigh in their sleep - they also sleep with us! :Crazy:

Yip, Oliver is quite a chatter, too!! He also talks to the pigeons and sparrows who come to the balcony, when he sees them he makes a noise as if trying to imitate the birdie talk... it's so cute!! ;D

Lirael’s quite a random talker, normally she wants to be fussed or someone is doing something she doesn’t like.
Smoke’s mostly vocal when she’s just woken up, and meows until you or Lirael go and check on her – she wants fuss from someone but is too comfy to get up!
Penguin sings in the night, so you hear Merooow, Merooowww half the night. He also makes a noise when he jumps up or down.
Quinn the foster kitten loves to chirp and trill for no apparent reason, he just does.
Harley just purrs very very loudly and mostly when Penguin is around.

Mosi can be a bit of a chatterbox. He doesn't really do normal meows but has a variety of trills and chirrups. He also has a very loud "WAHHH" for when he thinks I should be paying him more attention.

Oscar mieows about once every couple of months its quite high pitched and makes us laugh because he is huge with a tiny voice, Amber never makes a sound apart from loud purrs, Star makes a chirup sound when you stroke her on the head. Tilly the bengal is a bit like Eliza Dolittle, she looks pretty but when she opens her mouth........ (she actually sounds like a crow!)

Misa chatters at birds and tells me when he has got a mouse.........mrrrrrrrrrow...............he goes around going moi moi moi which he probably means :rofl:
He has learned lots of dufferent talking noises now for different situations, along with the paw on the shoulder to tell me he wants his treats ;D
Sasa just squeaks unless she is trapped and then she cries pityfully and breaks my heart.
Franta is a meower and has dirrent ones at differing volumes to let me know he wants something.
Ducha shouts very loudly when he thinks he is not getting enough attention, both him and Franta have a birman whine at the top of there voices and when they first arrived it was going most of the time but now thay have their freedom and a bed to sleep in......my bed.......I hardly ever hear the whine any more ;D

I have a particular soft spot for Scottish Folds, but I have only known one of them personally, and he also had that sweet chirpy voice though he was much larger...is that one of their characteristics?

Bilbo is silent and deadly. Well, he shouts in the morning to be let out, and purrs quite a bit, but is otherwise economical with his conversation.
Baggins on the other hand witters on all day about anything. Just before we get up, he does his rounds surveying the rooms in the house. Its ace, he gives us a running commentary as he goes through his little routine.
I'd love to know what he's telling me :evillaugh:

Lirael's voice has always sounded like she's smoked 8 packs of ciggys a day.

I love that scottish fold one , what acutie and thats sorta how Sasa sounds and as for those siamese, well I was laughin and they new those bags had something for them :rofl: :rofl:
I regret to say thats how the birmans sound but especially Franta. I decided it was because they use ti whine at the top of their voices for attention when they lived in a garage and that sorta hurt their voices, Birmans love attention and to get none is very sad. Also Franta is deaf so he shouts loudly but he also has a cute meow when he wants ;D

I really wish Menue made a sound... I bearly get a meeow out of her. Only sounds I get are bottom burps and snores oh and the usual sound when she decides to be sick :tired:

Binky (RIP, Siamese) never stopped talking. Real yowl, and he would always answer if you spoke to him so could get a bit of a dialogue going. Xanthe chirps at us when happy, miaows when she wants something or is complaining, purrs extremely loudly and spits when in tiger attack mode! ;D

I like a chatty cat, it is good company. Especially if you have a conversation with them. Oh, are you hungry, well lets see, would you like this? or that? and now you are fed what will mummy have for dinner? Should she cook something or heat something in the microwave (this is usually the preferred option, by the way as it means i will sit down sooner. Do you think I have lived alone too long?? :rofl:

I've just listened to that siamese one and Jaffa came running up to the computer to see what was going on :rofl:
Jaffa has a very strange set of miaows - he doesn't sound much like a cat. More like a human baby. He has also perfected the silent miaow - he allows a very faint, throaty sound to emerge at the end and it's heartbreaking. He knows I'll drop whatever I'm doing and rush over to fuss him.

both of mine have really throaty purrs - esp Jessie.
They never used to meow but Cosmo's now found his voice and its a really squeaky chirrup that's v not butch :evillaugh:
Jessie usually just looks at you with her big eyes and tries to communicate telepathically and, when that fails, she taps you with her paw - :Luv: - she's such a cutie!

My three are all different :) Meesha tells me when she's going to do something or go somewhere by 'chattering'! She also calls me if she wants to go up to the bathroom for some special Meesha loves :Luv: Shanti chudders a LOT, and I think it's so funny when I touch her when she's curled up! BRrrrrrrroooowww! Hehehe! She also does it if I touch her trousers! She goes Bbbbrrrrooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! when she's caught something! Sabby answers me if I ask him if he's hungry ... I say "Are you hungggreeeee?" and he goes "Mow!!" Oh, and when he's pleased with what I've given him to eat, he purrs like a tractor whilst he's eating, and he's a really noisy eater too!
Funniest I've ever heard though, was my friend's cat Tigger. He was moving house, and Tigs doesn't like to be in the carrier in the car, and had escaped (don't ask), and as we picked up speed down the bypass and he saw the trees whizzing by, he let out a "MooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooOOOOOOOoooooo!!!" Which I think translated means "Wheeeeeeeeee!!!"
Cats are great talkers I think! Apparently they have at least 100 vocal sounds, compared to a dog's 10.

Blackcat, you sound like a perfectly normal cat owner (slave) to me. I can't imagine not having conversations with the furry horrors.
