I appreciate that this is a long shot but I am looking for a Manx female.
You would think living in the Isle of Man there would be no shortage, not so, they are very rare. Even in the UK there are
very few.
If you hear of any entering rescue shelters, blease bear me in mind.
As I say I appreciate that this is a long shot but there is no harm in asking.
-
Hi Yvonne,
Sorry to hear you are having trouble finding a manx .... maybe if you fill in the form on the attached link they may be able to assist. I think Manx's fall under the british shorthair category so it might be worht seeing if there are any 2british shorthair rescues" which might have a Manx girl in need of a home.
Good luck and if I see any whilst I'm trawling round the internet I will let you know.

Are you old enough to remember the Manx Cattery in Nobles Park?
-
Good morning Ela,
Yes I do vaguely remember the Manx cattery, it is very unfortunate that it was closed down. I have a fear that during our lifetime the Manx cat will be extinct in the Isle of Man and possibly the Uk. As far as I am aware very little is being done to preserve the breed.
Good morning Sam,
Thank you for your info, I will certainly look into that link but I have already been trawling the internet for the past two weeks and found very little, most searches have been taking me to California. I think in generations to come there will be a belief that the "Manx" is born, bred and originated in the United States.
I will keep looking, I have been assured that there should be more luck in the spring although I do not necessarily want a kitten an older cat would be fine for me.
-
Hi Yvonne I've just loooked at the link again and it semms it's a form to put an anmila up for rehoming rather than offer a home .... however it might be worth just emailing them and letting them know you have a home just waiting for a Manx should one need it.
Good luck

Success - meet Milly

Hurrah! Where's she from then? How old is she? Details, please!
-
Ahhhh isn't she lovely :Luv:
-
She's beautiful Yvonne, what a cheeky little face she has! How has she been getting on lately?
-
Good morning folks,
Gosh, did not realise that anybody would be that interested.
I put an advert on the local website asking for a Manx female any age and any condition considered, price negotiable but depending on age and pedigree etc. It is, as you probably know the wrong time of year for kittens I would not expect any Manx babes until about June which is the month that I acquired Cleo back in 1991. Within thirty minutes of placing the advert I had a phone call from a local lady wanting to rehome her cat due to the fact that she was expecting a baby. Now, now take it easy - I do not think that she found the decision easy, Milly's owner was concerned as Milly had started to sleep in the new baby's Moses basket and so she had reluctantly decided to find a new home for Milly and then saw my advert and so decided to ring me. She did not want any money for Milly only a good home.
Milly has only ever had the one home since being a kitten, the lady that had Milly also owned Milly's mother Molly and so Milly was born into that home. When I brought Milly home she shot under a chair where she stayed for two days and then she came out and made her home in the utility room next to our kitchen. Although Milly is a lot more relaxed now than she was, given the opportunity Milly would escape at her earliest opportunity and so consequently my house is now like Fort Knox, all windows and doors secured, catflap locked etc. this is a little awkward when my other cats have been used to coming and going as they please.
Milly has an appointment at the Vet on Monday to be chipped, she is already spayed.
Does anybody know how long the process of rehoming will take when she will forget about her previous home? Bearing in mind that she has already been in a caring home, I have taken strays in but they are different they choose you rather than the other way round.
Thank you to everybody for their interest.
-
I think you may need to keep her in for about 6weeks but you could try getting a harness and a lead for her if she is really desperate to go out.
Some cats have always gone out and hate the idea of being locked in so it may not just be the thought of her old home. Is her old home close and did she use to go outside there?
-
Hi Gill,
Thanks for that - Millys old home is about five miles away, so she would probably get lost.
I will get a harness from the Vet on Monday if they sell them, thanks for the idea.
-
Do you have any type of recall with her, mine all respond to the shake of the biscuit tub :)
-
Sorry dont agree with your homimg officer cos if a cat is crazy to go out its best they are allowed to if possible and this is a safe way of doing it. They also get to know that this is their new home and that inside its nice and warm and has food. All part of the bonding process but of course everyone has differing ideas and this is mine.
Forgot to say Yvonne , dont feed before going out with her, so she knows when she gets back in there is nice food to come back too.
-
Hi, as you will see post has moved from the rescue area.
Thank you to Milly and Gill for responding I really appreciate it.
As I think I mentioned previously it is a bit different bringing a full grown cat into a home from another home than it would be with say a kitten or a stray or even a cat from a rescue centre because they appear to settle down quite quickly in a new home. Milly is still a little unhappy although she is eating and sleeping quite happily in my utility room which is situated next to the kitchen.
Milly likes to be up high on the ledge and does not stay on the floor once she has finished eating. She will let me stroke her and pick her up but is very nervous if I take her into the lounge. Milly came to us on 23.12.06, three weeks this Saturday. I thought she would have been a bit more settled by now.
When I went to the Vet I ordered a harness which should be here tomorrow, does anybody know how long the prison term should be, I realise that this is the piece of string syndrome but if anybody has experience of settling an older cat in a new home I would love to hear your experience. I have just realised that Gill mentioned six weeks, is this based on your own experience Gill?
My existing two boys are not a problem, they have not bothered, it is just Milly that is a bit upset.
Any ideas? :thanks:
-
My experiences are a bit strange as Kocka was very old and sick when I moved hear and she started going out almost immediately but wasnt able to go very far.
Misa and Sasa arrived from CP but they were both terrified cats and although they used to sit on the kitchen window sill like they wanted to go out, I opened the door after about 6weeks and both of them ran back into the house. They were aged 7yrs and 4 yrs old. It took them about 3 months before they went out and now Sasa hates to be shut inside at all. I think these two were quite unusual due to their back ground.
The birmans were kept in for about 4 weeks and then hopped out the catflap and I think 4-6 weeks is a good length. Howeverr some cats go out much quicker, its all to do with how much they like their new home andknow where it is......they do learn quickly but the key I think is that they identfy their new home as somewhere they like , get fed and are warm and comfortable.
-
Thanks Gill,
However, it is all a bit academic now as Milly has escaped. My hubby told me at 5am this morning that Milly escaped at about midnight, she had pushed the baricades to one side and managed to get out of the cat flap, somehow. I am hoping that she will come back.
-
Hi Yvonne just caught up with this thread and sorry to hear that Milly has escaped :(
I am sure she will come back and just wanted a wee bit of freedom for a while.
I have everything crossed that Milly comes home soon xxxx
-
Ellie good morning and thank you for your positive thoughts.
I am waiting for it to get light and I will start searching properly, I have already been out with the torch. It is not like I have not been here before previously, I think if a cat wants to come home it will and if it does not then it wont.
I really feel sick to the stomach at the moment, really feel like I have failed.
Fortunately she was chipped on Monday, but I am really worried that she will be lost,
-
Fingers crossed Yvonne, I really do hope you find her.
-
  Hope you find her Yvonne - good job she didn't manage to escape until she'd been chipped!! Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
-
Oh no sorry to hear Milly has escaped;
Here are a few things to try:
1. Posters, Posters, Posters with picture and details with contact number.....hand out to neighbours and anyone you see. Put up in local shops, pubs and supermarkets. Stick to all local lamp posts. (If it rains go and collect them and replace - the neighbours and council don’t mind you putting them up so much that way). Also put one in your and friends cars – it’s amazing how many people see them this way. Make smaller flyers and push through every letterbox on your streets and the surrounding area. Remember you can never have too many posters out there! It is also a good idea to offer a Reward … of course this doesn’t have to be money, a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers is just as good.
2. Knock on doors and ask neighbours to check their sheds and garages WHILE YOU WAIT … it's surprising how many people say they will check but as soon as the door is closed they forget. It is recommended to knock on 10 doors either side of your house on both sides of the street.
3. Register him lost at all vets/catteries/rescue homes within a 20mile radius (remember to keep a record of everyone you contact) follow the link and clink on the map to find local rescues in your area: http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html
4. Leave food out and a toy of his
5. Leave out an unwashed item of your clothing
6. Put the contents of your hoover bag on your garden - it’s full of smells that they will recognise and if it doesn’t bring him directly to your door will at least hopefully keep him in the area. Alternatively if you have a litter tray that has used put some of the used litter on the garden as this will have familiar smells in it.
7. Contact the local fire brigade and see if they have had to rescue any stuck cats
8. Ask the local children to look - they are great for knowing all the local hidey-holes and love helping. Also have a word with your local post-person and milk man if there is one that delivers in your area.
9. Ask the local radio station to announce he’s missing and give out a contact number
10. Put an advert in the local paper
11. Contact your local environmental services dept (bin men) they keep a log of all animals picked on the roadside ... I know this is not a pleasant call to make and hopefully it will come back as negative.
12. Go out after dark when it is quieter with a friend / partner and walk round the local area gently calling every so often (give him a chance to answer you). Keep talking as you walk round that way if he is in the area he will hear you.
-
Thanks for that Sam,
Just come back from posting flyers through letterboxes - most people are at work at the moment. Weather is getting quite bad, very windy.
Thank you for the other tips as well.
-
Any news Yvonne? I have sent you a PM... I'm working this afternoon, can't always get on Purrs (if it's busy it's too obvious that I'm skiving!) but will check my emails regularly. Please could you email me with any news. Keeping absolutely everything crossed that she comes home soon.
Helen
-
Hi Helen,
No news yet - still looking. Hoping she comes home.
-
Come on Milly where are you ... sending lots of positive vibes that she will be back home soon.
-
Hi Sam,
Thanks for your positive thoughts. I hope she comes home but which home? My thoughts are now that Milly is trying to find her way back to her former home which is five miles away. I am now at my wits end. I have been up since 5 am, pounded the neighbourhood, put flyers through the letter box and thrown the contents of the litter box on the garden.
I am hoping that Milly just wanted some fresh air rather than to escape. But the longer it goes on...............
-
Hi Yvonne, ive just caught up with this thread and im sorry to hear that Milly has escaped, is there any sign of her yet? I do hope she is home with you soon, have you told her previous owner that she has escaped just in case she does turn up there?
 to you,
Sonya
x
-
Hi Sonya,
Yes, the previous owner has been informed, that was one of the first phone calls.
-
Sorry if you thought I was being a bit thick there Yvonne, I know how stressful it is having a furbabe go missing, hope I didnt offend you
-
Hi Sonya,
No, of course you did not offend me. I am just very grateful to everybody for sending me positive thoughts and best wishes.
The previous owner is actually related to my daughters best friend, her mother had a conversation with her this morning and so she is well aware of the situation.
It has been a very long and stressful day.
I think I was actually a bit short in my post to you but I did not mean to be it was not intended.
-
I feel for you Yvonne  I know what its like and know what you are going through hun. Heres hoping Milly hasnt gone far and gets herself home soon.
Sonya

I am so sorry that she has disappeered but she sounds a bit like Sasa and obviously desperately wanted to go out. I hope that she is still in the area and not trying that trek to her old home.
I cant remember why she left her old home to come to you but I do hope she comes back safe.
Is there anywhere you can leave some bisciuts and a bowl of water for her that maybe dry and safe and if its dry maybe a box with some bedding in.
Sasa stayed very close but I just couldnt see her and she came back when she was ready as long as I was out of sight.
Where you able to handle Milly and stroke her? If not the best way is maybe to not go out calling cos she may be scared of you. However if you were getting on OK then try late at night while it is quiet.
Come home Milly
-
Yvonne the best thing you can do now is to just keep positive thoughts and wait for day light to go back out. Milly looks like a smart girl, and as you've done as much as you can to get her scent out to her to know to come home you can only wait for someone to call you or for her to come home.
Sleep well tonight, rest up so that you have all your strength for tomorrow.
Thinking of you
-
Thanks everybody - you are so kind
-
OH NO Yvonne, i can not believe that i am reading this you poor thing, have you tried all the obvious things like sheds garages ..especially with this weather she could be hid somewhere taking shelter ..Poor liitle thing my heart goes out to you..
Come on Milly come home soon xx
-
I was so hoping to read that you had found her, will be thinking of you. Hope to hear more positive news tomorrow...
-
Hi Yvonne - have just caught up with this thread.
I'm so sorry to hear that Milly has gone missing, after things seemed to be going so well.
I do hope there is good news today and that Milly finds her way back to you.
Sending lots of love and positive thoughts your way,
From Mimi, Libby, Nellie and Phoebe xxx
-
Any news Yvonne?
-
I was just going to ask the same! Is Milly back yet?
-
Hi everybody,
No luck yet. I do not believe that Milly is in the area, I rather think that she is trying to find her way back to her former home. Still looking, searching and hoping. Don't know what else to do. I have turned the poor girl into a feral cat. She must be getting hungry by now, I sincerely hope that she can find some food and shelter somewhere. She will have been in our home one day short of three weeks.
I think in hindsight I might have been a bit naive, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Does anybody have any experience of adopting a full grown cat from a home environment and re-establishing it in another home environment? I have adopted kittens from a home environment and adult cats from a rescue centre but never from a home environment before.
Thank you all for your positive thoughts - it means a great deal to me.
xxx
-
Oh dear, I was hoping when I saw your post you may have found her.
I hope she turns up soon
-
Oh dear so sorry Milly is still not home. As you say there is a strong chance she is making her way back to her former home. What sort of area is it that you live ... is it rural or urban?
All I can suggest is make sure ALL the vets in the area are aware she is missing. Also make sure there are posters up in the area where she used to live as well as in your area if possible. At least she is chipped so if she is taken to a vet they will be able to reunite the two of you. I'm sure if the weather on the IoM is anything like here at the moment she will have found somewhere sheltered to go to ground.
Keeping everything crossed for a safe return.
-
Come on Milly you have your lovely new Mummy waiting to give you ooodles of cuddles and kisses
Thinking of you yvonne and sending lots of positive thought for her return
Hugs to you
xxxxx
-
Oh no, I really hoped you may have found her by now. If she is trying to make her way back to her old house then perhaps you could put some posters up in that area, if people were used to seeing her out and about beforehand they wouldn't think anything of seeing her again, they may not know that she had gone to a new home.
I know that Sam's Rossi managed to escape from her carrier in a completely new area, Sam did all the things on her checklist and she was eventually found a few streets away by someone who received a flyer I think. I'm fairly sure Rossi had gone straight from a home environment rather than a rescue so please don't give up hope of finding her nearby. Do you think the local radio station might put an appeal out?
Will be thinking of you.
-
Yvonne, just seen this post. Big Hugs and hoping Milly returns home soon x
-
GOd i just caught up with this thread and cant believe it, any signs of milly yet and have you informed the previous owner so she can be on the look out aswell ?

You're right Helen, Rossi had come from a home environment and she had NEVER been outdoors when she escaped and she was also only 6 months old. But after plastering posters everywhere and pushig flyers through every letter box (I live in a built up area with terraced houses) someone found her and recongnised her from a flyer they had received!!!! I made sure every house on my street and three streets either side on both sides of the main round received a flyer.

read this story aswell about a cat that escaped in an enviroment it didnt know, nor had it outdoor experience !! Its a lovely story.

Thank you to everybody for the continuing support and positive vibes, nothing to report yet.
Went to the local cat sanctuary yesterday and left a picture of her.
I will report back if there is any news.
Your encouragement is much appreciated believe me and the stories of cats going walk about and then making their way home or being found is encouraging as well.
Thanks,

Still crossing everything that she comes home or returns to her old one..

There has been a sighting and a trap has been set.
My question to any experienced trappers out there, how often should the trap be checked?
Hubby reckons he is in charge of the trap and intends to check it first thing in the morning. I thought that was a bit too long if a creature was caught in there although it is undercover it would still get cold.
Any ideas or thoughts?
-
What good news, was she seen nearby your house or back at the old house? I am not a trapper let alone an experienced one but I would check it a few times throughout the night, you (or hubby :evillaugh:) might be a bit tired the next day but it will be worth it to get Milly back safe and sound.
Still got everything crossed for you, come on Milly - come back home!
-
Hi I have trapped a stray before, I sat in my car for about 5 hours for 3 nights, what i suggest is, if you can sit and wait for a few hours on a night, you may be able to catch her. If you don't check the trap often something else might get caught and be in there all night. It will also alert nearby cats to be wary of it, thats if another cat gets caught and is wailing it's head off all night. Just a suggestion. Good luck in catching her.
-
I'm not an experienced trapper but in your situation I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, so you may as well keep checking on it if it's not too far to go!
Wow, very excited for you. :luck: :yesss:
-
Wow thats great news :yayyy: :yayyy: I cant offer you any advice re the trapping side of it, you might be better off emailing Teresa or Ela or one of the other more experienced cat rescue ladies on here and see what advice they can give you Yvonne, but im keeping everything crossed thats shes home soon

-
What great news that you have had a sighting.
Can't give any advice on trapping I'm afraid but I am praying for you and with any luck Milly will be home soon.

Great news, I would wait in my car close all night if necessary

I have everything crossed for you..........im so excited for you I can imagine how your feeling

Just caught up with this thread! God I hope you manage to trap her! At least you know she's alive and well, and which area she's in... Hope you catch her soon!

Any more sightings or news?
-
Have you found Milly?
-
Any news on Milly? when we brought Tonka home he was 2 years old after about 3 -4 weeks he got out, but a week later we found him in our back garden, so keep looking
-
Hi everybody,
Thanks for that Paree it is really encouraging.
Hubby went up this morning to check the trap - quite adamant that there would be nothing in there and to his amazement there was a wild cat inside, he thinks it was male and it was real mad. As he was letting the cat go he spotted Milly, he called to her, she looked at him and ran off. The trap has been re-set and all we can do is wait, again. I believe the workmen will ring if anything is sighted in the trap during working hours.
That is about it for the moment, at least for the time being I know that she is safe which is a relief. I just hope we can catch her.
Thank you for all your good wishes and I have to say that I have a lot to thank the forum for as if it was not for you guys I would never even had heard of a cat trap. I think we have more chance of catching her with a trap than without.
Once again many many thanks xx
-
Well the good news is that your OH has seen Milly so you know she is till in the area. I hope that you able to catch her.......does she get on well with your OH? Maybe she has watched where he goes and may follow him home..........is that possible?
-
Stay near to the trap (within earshot) is best. If not please check it hourly, a trapped cat can go ape if left.
Good luck, and i can reccomend using tinned fish such as pilchards or sardines
-
Yvonne so pleased that Milly is still in the area .... now you know where she is would it be possible to just wander round that area and rattle cat biccies and see if that'll flush her out .... I'm sue she is hungry by now.
Come on Milly ..... you have lots of fans waiting for you to come home.
-
That is good news Yvonne, hopefully hunger will get the better of her and she will go into the trap. I will be so pleased when she is back home safe and sound with you, I'm sure it's only a matter of time...
-
:luck: Hope you manage to catch her soon ;D
-
any news Yvonne .... have you managed to catch any more wild cats :evillaugh:
I do hope you aren't experiencing the horrendous winds that are tearing through the Midlands at the moment .... I would hate to be a puss cat out in this :'(
-
Any more sightings Yvonne? Would you be able to borrow another trap so you have more chance of getting her? Also you could ask the local school kids to keep their eyes peeled for her, they will be out and about playing or walking to school so may have more chance of spotting her than the normal target audience of adults.
-
Hi Sam / Helen,
Not much to report at the moment, no more sightings and just the one cat caught in the trap this morning, “a mean looking tabby” was the description that I was given. Hubby has moved the trap a little bit, put some more cat food in it and hope for the best, I just hope that she is still in that area and not moved on.
The location of the area is a bit remote, there are no schools or shops in the area. Milly is/was residing at the local Post A Rose Plantation, where there is a series of greenhouses, so she will be warm but I have no idea of food sources in that area, a caravan and a house and lots of fields, it is situated about one mile from my house, through lots of fields, a rural area.
We have not had mean winds but unfortunately it does have a knock on effect living on a small Island, the cargo boat has not been able to sail, not because of the weather here but because of the weather over there. As a consequence there was a load of panic buying yesterday and now supermarket shelves are completely empty of fresh food, it does not take much for the knock on effect to have a rather large impact here.
Awful day yesterday, My daughter Clare (12) and I had to make the decision to put our guinea pig, Doctor Evil, to sleep, most horrendous decision to make. He had not been well since Monday, he had a visit to the Vet on Monday where they tried antibiotics and hydration, no improvement, not eating, drinking or even moving. The Vet said that if he was in the wild he would have been picked up by a predator. He will be buried today in the garden alongside the cats.
Not having much luck with pets lately but it means a great deal to have your continued support.

-
Hope you find her soon.
-
So sorry to hear you have still not found Milly, Yvonne.........sorry also about Dr Evil - RIP poor little chap.
Keeping all fingers and paws crossed here for Milly's safe return very soon.........

-
So sorry to hear about Dr Evil .... RIP little one you will have lots of new friends to play with at the bridge.
Hope your daughter is OK and not too distressted at losing him.
Glad to hear that the weather over there isn't as awful as we have been having .... fingers crossed it's not on it's way to you. Also pleased to hear that Milly probably hsome shelter in the greenhouses .... although of course being out in a rural area makes it just as difficult to catch them as if they were hiding in town. I think Liz is the authority on catching cats in rural areas .... she moved to the middle of nowhere in Scotalnd with her 37 cats!!!!!!!! Maybe she will be able to offer you some advice.
-
Hi Yvonne, so sorry to hear about Dr Evil  to your daughter, and im sad to hear theres still no sign of Milly, still thinking about you and hoping Milly is home soon

Sorry to hear about Dr. Evil, it must be a really difficult time for you lately. I would definitely send a message to Liz as Sam suggested, she recently moved to the middle of nowhere and her (37) cats forced a window and escaped soon after they'd moved in. I think she has them all back now bar one who is a very clever feral who keeps evading the traps, hopefully she'll have some ideas of what you can do to get Milly back.
Still got everything crossed for you....
-
I have sent Liz a pm asking for her help.
-
Oh no, you're really not having much luck with your animals! So sorry to hear about Dr Evil. :(
Hopefully Liz will be able to help you with regards to getting Milly back.
-
How to begin to explain this story is very difficult and so I shall start at the beginning of the day about 9.30 am, hubby and I went down to check the trap, it was empty. Hubby had to go to work and I said that I would ask if I could have a look around the plantation and then walk home. The lady in the office gave me permission to look around and I gave her some pictures of Milly, she was very nice, she had cats of her own. I looked around all the greenhouses and there was no sign of any cats at all, I walked home through the fields and no sign of any cats at all.
11.38 am I had a phonecall from the plantation owner to say that the workmen had found my cat and unfortunately they thought that she was dead but still warm. I raced to the plantation, the workman gave me a box and I stroked her, she was warm but her chest was not moving. I went as fast as possible to the Vet. I rushed into Reception and said please look at my cat, the Receptionist grabbed the box and ran off with her.
The Vet confirmed that she was indeed dead and the microchip matched. Not sure how exactly because she looked perfect but it was a head injury. Hubby thinks that she probably ran into one of those panes of glass in the series of greenhouses on the plantation.
"Milly - I wish you had not ran away and would have let me care for you, I would have provided you with a good home and lots of love."
We buried her in the garden alongside Cleo.
Tears are starting now, as they have been on and off all day.
Thank you to everybody for helping with ideas and support, I am very grateful.
Rest in Peace Milly my darling - I feel numb, guilt and failure.
-
Oh Yvonne I am so, so sorry for your loss my heart goes out to you and a big hug too......you must not feel guilty at all
Milly play happy at the bridge its such a shame you didnt stay long enough to see that you had a lovely lovely Mummy and she loved you so much
love and kisses to you yvonne and purr's to you from my fur babies

Oh Yvonne, you poor thing. Don't really know what to say except I'm so sorry for you, I'm in tears for you so I dread to think how you must be feeling.
Please do not feel guilty, you were only trying to give her a better life. She is now at peace with Cleo, RIP Milly xx
-
So sad for you Yvonne, terrible it turned out this way.
RIP Milly. :'(

Oh Yvonne you poor thing I was so hoping that it was good news when I saw a post from you. I know nothing anyone says at the moment will make you feel better but please do not feel guilty ... you have nothing to feel guilty about. My heart goes out to you and I can only begin to imagine how you must feeling.
I know it's no comfort but at least you were able to bring her home and she will always be with you in your heart. We are all here for you and send you and your hubby lots of love and hugs.
RIP Milly and play hard at the bridge little one. Your Mummy and Daddy loved you so much more than you realised baby.

Oh no...
I've been following this, hoping that Milly would make it home. That is just so sad.

Yvonne sorry this couldn't have the happy ending you were hoping for. At least she is home now forever and I'm sure will be leading Cleo in fun and games at the bridge.
I do know what you are going through as we are still trying to trap Rio who left us the day we moved in our mas escape, we haven't seen hime for about 4 weeks now and the weather has been bad but we live in hope our tabby boy will come home one way or the other.
In the winds last night we lost part of our greenhouse and duly started letting the cats out before we discovered it but thankfully noone went that side of the greenhouse.
Only ever borrowed never owned but always a pawprint in your heart. Somehow no length of time is ever enough and sometimes its short and bittersweet but at least you brought her home and will rmember this special lady forever.
Again deepest sympathy for your loss :'(

Oh, Yvonne. You didn't get a proper chance to get to know her, and I know that won't mean you didn't love her, but that's so sad. Don't feel guilty, I'm sure Milly knew she was loved by you for the short time you had her.
RIP, Milly. :(
