Title: Rosie - CAT77 Shaw Branch
Post by: Desley (booktigger) on September 30, 2007, 18:21:04 PM
We would love to find Rosie a home of her own, she loves her home comforts, and would like some outdoor access. She is around 12-13, and a patched tabby (she has some gorgeous russety markings on her back). Doesn't seem bothered by other cats, but not overly close either, and is fine with dogs. If you are interested, please either e-mail or PM Kelly, or ring 01706 840102.

Yeah, she doesn't look her age. She may be coming to me after my hols, I do hope she finds a home first though (not that I dont want her, just that a forever home is better than mine)

Better description of the little girl:

Hi, my name's Rosie, and I am a mature lady (us ladies never like to give our age) looking for a home for the rest of my years. I haven't had a very good year, my owner couldn't cope with me and my friends, so we had to come into something called a 'rescue', both my friends have found homes, but i was the oldest, so I have been overlooked (even though i think I am the best looking). I am in something called a 'foster home' now, but the lady who looks after me is only my Aunty, not my mum, and I would so love a Mum/Dad of my own again. I am very friendly and affectionate, an love to sit on your knee and have fusses. I enjoy going out for short periods of times, but do prefer the house.

Rosie is de-flead, and wormed, and we ask a £35 donation fee. If you are interested, please contact me on either desley@onetel.com, or 01706 838820.

I know, she has only been with us since June, I think that is quite good for a 13 year old. She is going to be an only cat - although they may look into getting a second cat in a short while, they have always only had one cat, but were debating with 2 this time round.

HAd a lovely card through the post today, with a note from Rosie and a photo - she even knows how to use a computer (Molly wasn't allowed, she had to handwrite her note!!). This is what it says:

Dear Desley
Just to let you know I have settled down nicely in my new home. I have a comfy chair in the kitchen all to myself and I am enjoying chicken on Sundays and fish on Fridays when everyone in the house has chippy tea. I also like the catmilk that they give me, it makes me lick my lips. I went outside for a sniff around the other day, but I like it best inside.
I get lots of cuddles and loves from all the family and I enjoy watching TV with them in the evenings. I have been very kind to them, I always purr and never scratch.
I like sitting on the windowsill watching the birds and playing with my toys. I am looking forward to getting the Christmas tree next week (I think I might get a present or two).
Thank you for finding them for me, they are very grateful.

Love Rosy

They changed the spelling of her name, and I think it looks better!! I might have to write her a nice thank you note!! She looks very happy and content in the pic. Love a happy ending - this little one could have been pts earlier this year for no reason.

It must be lovely to hear how well they're doing, especially the ones who nearly didn't make it in the first place  :Luv2:

:grouphug: T - you know where I am if you ever need me.
It is Clare, and really does make it worthwhile - looking at Molly always helps me, she has had 2 years we didnt' think she had in her (I honestly wasn't sure she even had 2 months in her), and no signs of going anywhere. There are a couple of others that are really special to me, and I love seeing pics of them in their new home, all happy - they are all special, but certain ones are more than others (my other two are ones that were scared of humans when they came, and I turned them round).

I think the work you all do is absolutely invaluable, and we all know the heartache you go through to do it, so stories like this are genuinly heartwarming  :)
