Which ones did ya get Mark?  ;D They are great her books, read all of them now and i learnt so much :) I have been in contact with Vicky and she is a lovely lady, so caring :)

She is doing a TV series of a cat whisperer which is going to be fantasic and finally spread the word to the public to help understand cats more.  ;D

Well worth reading her books definately :) They are funny too :)

Even less chance of getting her to sort out my little pee machine - I  mean Willow  :tired:

Its called "Cat Counsellor"

I'm a bit confused now - maybe it wasn't the charts - but I was sure it was

Anyway, if tesco are selling it, loads of people will read it which can't be a bad thing  ;D

I love the BB kitten on the cover  :Luv:

The Counsellor is her third book very good but my favs are her 1st two the cat detective and cat confidential. Brill stuff in there re multicat household probs, Spraying probs,  indoor cats etc.

Her tv serious will be great and she is on her 4th book :)

No, that's Victoria Stillwell. Vicky Halls is my tutor and Tan's right, she's really lovely. Down to earth, and really helpful. She deserves all the recognition she's receiving because she's wonderful at what she does. :)

methinks that if you want the same pic every time, you need to make it part of your 'signature'. That way the pic comes up at the bottom but those of use who like to keep things uncluttered can see your post without the pic. Then if you are posting new pix those go in the body of the message. Not that we don't love your kitty - it's just we keep wondering if we have accidentally re-set our options all the time. As I am presently running a temperature, than can be fairly disturbing

Its 2 for £7 up here!! How wierd! I was going to buy it but I decided I had too many books... maybe once I have given some books away I will purr-chase it!

So it is - sorry they were £4 each or £2 for £7  ;D not bad as the cover price is £6.99. OH got a detective novel as well

I know some stores have different prices on things as I worked for a printer who did Sainsburys price tickets and stores that were near an Asda (I think) were cheaper.

QP have you got any books to put in the auction?  Better to see if you can raise some money for a good cats cause

Pap you can put a picture in the signature in your profile and thats how the other pics I reckon you are seeing come up and its automatic. Some have the signatures switched off cos it makes the pages load quicker and its easier to read the posts.

If you wanna post a picture with every post separate to that , feel free  ;D

not annoying - just confusing. We are rarely annoyed here except at the behaviour of humans towards their animals...

I went to a talk she did arranged by our vets last year, she was very entertaining but she did speak out very strongly against multicat households which being the owner of 4 I was abit sorry to hear!

I'm pretty sure she has more than one cat herself, or has done in the past. If I remember rightly, the reason a lot of people think a multicat household is a negative is due to the fact that some cats will not show their full personality in order to have a calm living environment.

that's right JS she said something like she had had 7 in the past but only because she didn't understand cats properly at that stage, she did say that multicat households would never go away because there were so many unwanted cats in the world but that in an ideal world she wouldn't recommend it, she felt that the happiest cat was a singleton - I know that two of mine would disagree, they love company!  She wasn't nasty about it but just gently put it that most of the problems people in the room had could be solved by not having so many cats - I'm sure we all nodded and then ignored her anyway!

Thats the one thing one of 3 things i disagreed with in her book, although at the end it does say because of the state of rescues thats its a necessity.

Oh and she also said feral kittens dont make good pets and not to let the stray toms adopt you cos they are trouble. I disagree  :evillaugh:

Yep. And for people with crap computers who want to view new pics its slows things down to keep loading the same ones.

Welcome hun. Yes Pav was not sure if she should post pics or not with each post, she's new to PC's and especially forums, but is learning. We've sorted them into her signature now (she's even got herself a photobucket account!   Sorry to anyone who wasn't sure if she was a nutter or not :evillaugh: she's not I promise! Though my opinion can sometimes, as some of you know, be classed as nutty sometimes itself..

I don't agree with her about multi cat households either.  I can see where she's coming from, and I do think a lot of feline unhappiness arises from cats being forced to live in close proximity to other cats that they don't get on with, but cats are much more social than people give them credit for and many cats benefit from a feline friend.  With multi cat hholds I think the important thing is to have enough space so that they can divide themselves into 2 or more social groups if necessary, and not be forced to live in close contact with another cat they have problems with.

I think that's kind of what she was trying to make people aware of  - that a cat may need more "territory" than they think in their own home than a human feels is right for them.

I agree cats can be very sociable with each other, up until recently my oldest two would curl up together to go to sleep. (My oldest girl likes her own space now she's getting on in years.) And my four always acknowledge each other when they pass in the garden with a quick nose touch. Parsley always did too.

Cat Confidential was recommended to me recently but had not gotten round to buying it so after reading this post went out and bought it at Tesco this morning - some light reading for later!
