Well, after the trouble with Smokey, and finally getting both herself and Smudge on a good diet - I just got a phone call from my mum.
It seems that the kittens mother was at the vet to get dressed, and she has fleas. Instantly alarm bells start ringing, so I check all the kittens sleeping areas and blankets. I haven't found any walkers but I think I've found some flea dirt - and thats all it will bloody take!!!
I've just ordered some frontline and a few tins of Indorex House spray. When I was living at my mums, we had an infestation on her 3 cats, and it was pure hell for them. There is no bloomin way its going to happen with Smudge and Smokey. They are still too small and young for frontline, but I'll bloody well go over them with a flea comb until they are. Its 8 weeks and 1Kg for frontline, and both of them are at 7 weeks old. Smudge is 800g and Smokey is 700g - so when they are ready for it, I'm going to kill me some fleas.
In the interim, I'm going to Hoover the hell out of the house daily, flea comb them and Karen is going to wash their blankets and cat beds regularly.
I BLOODY WELL HATE FLEAS!!!!!!!

Top tip for flea combing, sit in the bath (without water) and comb the kittens in there .. that way if one of the little hopers runs off the comb you won't lose it in the carpet!
Good luck and fingers crossed the babies havent' got any "friends"

Frontline Spray is safe for baby kittens (from 2 days old), you can only get it from the vets though or online with a prescription.

If you catch any put them in boiling water, its very satisfying watching them die :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
