Title: Friendly or aggressive?
Post by: snarf on September 23, 2007, 20:45:30 PM
i posted before about a stray ive taken in till its owners can be found.
lucifers been very well behaved about it all and it doesnt seem to have knocked his confidence or his sweet nature. spare cat is living in the spare room and is very friendly with me. ive been following the advice of Wizz and messybeast and theyve had the scents mixed and spares been exploring and theyve seen each other through a gap in the door- lucifers alwasy been ppprrrrowing  with ears forward and tail up. spare hissed the first few times but then she sit and blink for a while before yawning and  jumping up to the windowsill . this morning i woke up to lucifer meowing and pppruping to the door and sticking his paws under the door, when i peeked in(under the door) , spare was doing the same. is this playing? or is it a we-want-to-hurt-each-other-but-were-inconvieniently-placed-to-do-so??

edited to correct nonsense grammer

definitely sounds promising to me. The stray is signalling non-threatening with the yawn and they games under the door are getting-to-know- you games. You're making progress :Luv:

Purping is a friendly noise, so sounds good to me. If they were hissing and growling then it would be a different story.

Sounds like this 'stray' may be staying  ;)

I think "Spare" might soon become "extra"  ;)
