Hmmmmmmmmm I thought ebay had banned this cos dawn use to  get donations through ebay and I am sure she said ebay had banned it.

They mentioned toys and stuff but I couldnt see what one was bidding for.

As I understand it unless you are selling something like a toy etc you should not be able to do this anymore.

When the fee increase hit the ebay shops part of the feebay campaign was to get lots of bids on daft things but on one thing that actually existed...........some fudge LOL................ebay banned the  sale cos they said the fudge didnt exist! It did, and not just all the fudging that ebay did!

Lets hope this one slips through the net. Maybe one of their mods has a heart  :evillaugh:

I advertised my B&B on there but they cancelled the ad as my website was on it - they obviously don't want people going direct to the seller. But the annoying this is I always see sellers with website addressses on there. Just pot-luck I suppose.

Well I hope they get some donations from it anyway.

Mark, the problem is that you can't be sure there ARE any sick kittens to donate money to. If they do exist, the owner should take them to the vet and arrange payment by installment, not wait for others to pay.

Personally, I think this is a scam.

I know some Cats Protection Branches do advertise on e-bay for help with cats and kittens.

There is a website address for Ellesmere Port rescue on there. I looked at the site and it is definately genuine. There is an address, contact numbers and they even have a shop.

DaveD has posted recently that he has just starting fostering for Ellesmere Port Cat Rescue I think.  It was on one of the threads asking for rescue details.

The listing has been cancelled. I just tried to look and it has gone.
I hope if there are kittens that they get the help they need.

Yep, the Cyprus Cats "feed a cat for a day" listing is on regularly. If I have a spare 99p I usually "buy" one. ;)

doesn't mean to say that the rescue site actually benefits - you can link what the hell you want.......

Winn from Ccat action trust was telling me about a kennels in nuneaton that breeds and sells cats in bad conditions, aparantly the bloke was telling everyone that he was part of CAT and taking donations and everything. Only came to light when someone contacted Winn about the cat she had and the scam was revealed.

Personally, I'm still very cautious and even don't believe half the things I read on this forum! :scared:
