Lost my darling furbabe Loki yesterday to a car. I was a CatChatter and then pressures of work etc. meant I didn't log on for a while but when I heard (I couldn't even be there as I work away from home now) from my hubby that it had happened the only thing I wanted was to talk to people whose furbabes are at Rainbow Bridge.
Haven't stopped crying all day. I've got a copy of the poem on my desk at work and looking at it makes me cry and smile at the same time.
My little boy was 2 1/2 yrs. A common moggie with a huge personality and a real Mummy's boy. I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest, so empty inside. I just can't believe I'm not going to hear his voice again. I work on the Isle of Wight but my home is on the mainland so I leave for work on Monday mornings and return home on Friday nights - he was on the prowl yesterday morning and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. I'm sure he knows how much I love him but of course now I want to see him one last time. The last thing of note he did was bite my hubby awake on Saturday morning because his lie in was taking too long!! It was like he was saying "Mummy's been up for hours, it's time for you to get up too!"
I can't tell you how much I miss him.
RIP my beautiful Loki, play hard at the Bridge.

So sorry to hear the sad news  He'll be at Rainbow Bridge by now, waiting for you until you are ready to collect him
Remember Our Love
I was chosen that day
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry
And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone
When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.
Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

Thank you so much everyone. So sorry to hear your news too Stuart - I'm glad Loki will have Hamish as another newbie to the Bridge to show him the proverbial ropes. Thanks to everyone else who asked their furbabes to look out for mine too. I'm so glad I came back here. I can't tell you all what your words have meant to me and just being able to talk to people who love their cats as much as I do. I guess I'm lucky I'm left with another little boy, Whisper (who's been confined to temporary house arrest!) who's going to get the biggest cuddles when I finally get back home. I love the idea of Loki chasing butterflies. He loved pretty things which caught his eye. Have to go now as I'm getting all soggy again!! Thanks again everyone xxx

So very sorry to hear about Loki, take care
:RIP:

Ah how sad. It is bad enough when we are with them when the go. To hear about it and be unable to go back and touch them one last time - that is too hard to bear. You have all my sympathy and concern Mrs Porter - I know how you feel.
-
So sorry to hear about Loki - he'll be waiting for you at the bridge :candle:

Oh hun i know so well how you feel and i'm sending huge hugs   over to you. It the shock of loosing a wonderful babe so quick and the hardest thing to except. I have lost recently my adorable babes to RTA and i still can't except it, i just dont want to. I pretend they are just out and try to get busy with work and my wonderful babes still with me. I know they will always be with me in my heart, they will never leave there but i just want them home.
Rest easy darlin Loki, one day we we all see our babes again.
:Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost one of our girls Parsley, to a stroke in February and we still miss her huge amounts. :(
There's no such thing as a "common moggy" - they're all way too exceptional to have the word common attached to them, and I'm sure Loki was a wonderful little guy.
RIP, Loki and know you'll be missed. :RIP:
-
I am so sorry to read this and thinking of you. I know just how you are feeling having lost my baby Chico in the same way at exactly the same age. The shock makes things even more difficult to cope with - as you know there is so much support on here from people who understand and care so please keep in touch. All our furbabes are special but it seems time and time again that those who have just that extra place in our hearts are taken too soon. Take care, Loki knows how much you love him.

So sorry to hear about Loki.
R.I.P Little man

Nite Nite Loki, I'm sure you have met all our babes by now, they will look after you
Send meomy a rainbow or a nice butterfly so she knows your near and ok :RIP:
-
Mrs P, even though he is happily playing over the bridge with new mates, he will never leave you, in his special way. He will stay purring in that little corner of your heart always.
-
I got a tip from Helen and I know it sounds daft, but it does work
It must be very hard for you being stuck where you are without your family and friends to support you  I know this might sound a bit crazy but when I went back to work and started to feel teary I would imagine Tiggy on my back in a kind of piggy back position - watching over me and keeping me strong, it was enough to keep the tears away until I could be alone with my thoughts. Maybe you could give Hamish a piggy back when things get really tough
and like Dolcetta says " He Will Always Be with You " :Luv: :Luv:
-
Hi Mrs P
Hope you are feeling a bit better today xx

So sorry to hear your news and understand what you are going through. Sending you a big hug
