Title: My cats are sick
Post by: jetcleo on September 18, 2007, 16:26:30 PM
Came home from work to find that Ralphie had been sick not in just one room but 3 rooms upstairs!!!  Just cleaned it up and he's sat on the stairs looking really fed up.  I don't know what's wrong with them Cleo was poorly this morning and i've not seen her yet so don't know how she is doing.

She was fine last night then this morning she looked unwell so i left her in the house but before leaving for work she was sick.  Popped home at dinner and she looked bit better and managed to sneaknoutside when i opened the door.  Ralph was fine at lunch, he was asleep on the bed but now he's the poorly one.

Only Jet that's escaped it ...............so far.

Oh dear - hope it's just something that passes by and isn't too serious

Oh no!  Hope its just a lil' tummy upset which passes quickly.  Could they have eaten anything which has upset them?

I would keep a close eye on them and if there no improvement tomorrow i would make an appointment with your vet.

Does sound as if they may have eaten something disagreeable?  I would keep a keen eye on them all to make sure the two invalids are getting better rather than worse.

Hi thanks everyone, just got home from a meeting, Cleo is totally back to normal, running round like a mad woman.  Ralphie is also much better but not as alert or lively as normal!!!

I hope it was just a bug, i've been trying to work out if it could be something they ate but i don't know.  Ralph is still house bound at the mo so only eats his dry biscuits, Cleo is out in the garden most of the time and they don't mix as they don't like each other.

Fingers crossed that's it now, i'm just hoping Jet doesn't catch whatever they had, i'm fed up of cleaning carpets!!!

Cleo is her normal self again, Ralph seems much better but is still a bit groggy and not eating all his food which he normally does.  If he's no better by tomorrow i'm going to pop him to the vets.

 :thanks:

we had a thing with Oscar a while back, he threw up about 8 times in a row, I did take him to the vet but they couldn't account for what had happened and then he was back to normal, glad yours are all feeling better

Hi everyone, spoke too soon, came home from work today and poor Ralphie has been sick yet again and clearly has a poorly tummy (can't spell the word beginning with d!)

Rang the vets as he's been sick  about 6 times now since Tuesday dinner and has hardly eaten a thing.  He's got an appointment in the morning so i'll have to sneak out of work!

Been to the vets and they found nothing wrong, he did have a high temperature though.  They've told me to just monitor him and try not to give him too much food.

Sounds like it's the equivalent of a human 'bug', nothing that can really be done for it and no real cause.  I'm sure with a few extra cuddles Ralphie will be feeling back to his old self soon enough

Aw, hope he's feeling better now, glad the vet found nothing wrong though, probably just a bit of an upset.  Probably best to stick to very bland food for the next few days if he's got a bit of a tummy irritation  :)

When i first got kitty she was sick every day for 4 days and also had diarohea i rang the vets and they told me to not give her any food for 24hrs other than real chicken, it worked fine the next morning i only fed her a small amount of food which she kept down and after a couple of days the diarrohea had stopped to,

Hope yours are fine now
