Title: Our little visitor
Post by: berties mum on September 16, 2007, 22:19:04 PM
Last night Minnie was having one of her "don't want to come into the house" evenings so OH put some food down for her outside because she was obviously hungry but being stubborn.  A bit later we heard sounds of food being eaten so opened the door to see if Minnie wanted to come indoors ... only to find that we had a little visitor who was happily tucking into Minnie's tea ...

His name is Spikey Mikey and I am eagerly awaiting his next visit but haven't seen him yet tonight.  I think OH fears that he will become a fully fledged member of the Bertie household and will be fed indoors soon

That'll be the quarter-can of Felix he/she had devoured before being rumbled and trying to look innocuous behind the flowerpot

They do like cat meat... one of my locals likes biscuits too!

Good time to feed him/her up - it'll be hibernating time before we know it and the fatter they are the better their chances  :Luv:

We have a resident hedgehog, spikey!, and it loves cat food. I am sure you will find your spikey coming back again and again if there are any signs of cat food. I also supply spikey with lots of snails but it definatly prefers Tescos chicken in jelly. By the way what a lovely picture, Alison. ;D

I'd love a hedgehog in the garden, we've got so many slugs in garden that eat everything I plant but i haven't got the heart to kill them
