Just when I thought it was slowing down - took three in on Friday, four 1 day old kittens picked up last night, and another four 12 week olds coming on Friday. I think the warmer weather has brought on another spurt of kittens.
Hubby will not be pleased, doesn't know the four are coming on Friday yet. :evillaugh:

To be honest I don't think there is a kitten season nowadays, I hear of just as many kittens being born at all times of the year. The only difference is the times of the year we are asked to take kittens in. e.g. between Dec and April when everyone wants kittens people tend to find homes for their own cats kittens and we are asked to being very few into care. When the 300 or so phone calls for kitten we have a month dies down about May, we then start getting the calls from members of the public saying I have some kittens for you I can't find them a home. This usually happens a couple of different times a year.

There has been 3 flushes already this year

We have suddenly been inundated with calls to take kittens in again - rescue lady was at the vets picking kittens up on Wed, and as she was leaving was asked if they wanted any more by a stranger!!

That's what it has been like here Desley, taken in 12 in the last week, have now run out of room again.

Blimey!! Dont know how you do it, I am shattered with the 3 kittens and 4 adults I have here!!

I have homed 2 today so am down to 60
