Title: Is it winter already?
Post by: Angiew on September 11, 2007, 18:19:51 PM
Had to resort to the 'spare' chair last night as the sofa was full ! No - one wanting to go outside after curfew. Must admit it made a pleasant change - no doubt they will all be demanding that the heat god is awakened soon.

Goose is getting furryer (apart from the frontline patch). Is that it ? all over for another year?

(poor chair - it's hardly been used so the foam is very firm - not nice and squishy like its brother though its arms are still as scruffy! had to give it a spray with the Acclaim as well today -  was feeling very itchy/scratchy last night!)

Well I had a perfectly glorious autumnal day in Whitstable and Herne Bay today, and hoping for similar tomorrow when we attack Chatham (work study tour on regeneration). But, when I got of the train at Chatham this evening (about half an hour ago) there was a distinct autumnal chill in the air. Might wake the heat god. Might add another layer of clothing. Tossing up between the two. It is twilight now but I only know this as the curtains have yet to arrive, hopefully some time this week as I am getting sick of providing street theatre for the neighbours while sitting on the sofa each evening, framed in the bay window. Mind it does give me a good view down the street to find out what is happening without having to twitch the nets aside  :evillaugh:

I am whispering here you understand cos we have had about two weeks of dry summerlike weather which would have been so nice in the summer! The nights however are not warm at all and yesterday we had gales so rushed down to the coast to watch the sea come in spectacularily and it was calm, except there were loads of fish and the seagulls were having a ball diving for dinner. I could actually see the fish all jumping around on the top of the water in places and the fisherboys who I have never seen catch anything were swaggering along with fish in their plastic bags .

I just seen the forcast and looks like the next couple maybe the same and the forcasted temps are better than what we have had in the summer.
