Just do a search for Iams animal testing and take your pick of the various websites regarding the terrible testing they do with cats & dogs. Cats having to live with their stomachs outside their bodies, cats and dogs being deprived of various nutrients to see how long they take to get ill, go blind, die etc, cruel surgery, the list is endless. All so they can make their food as cheaply as possible. I do not buy anything made by procter & Gamble ie Flash, fairy, bold, bounty, pringles etc. - its awful. Hill's don't do any of that testing.

They even sell Iams in the £1 shop now - I hope they go bust very soon.

Not having a go but now you know - Mine all loved Iams but got used to Hills pretty quickly. Willow stopped being sick when she came off IAMS

Shame to waste it Jetcleo. You weren't to know. I would just use it up and buy something else next time

Mine like Hills so might try them on that again anyway.  The local resuce centre round here feeds theirs on Iams that's the main reason i bought it for Ralphie!!  My other two eat James Welbeloved

Yes they do   :-[

JC,maybe you could let the rescue know, as they may be unaware. There was a campaign in American to get as many rescues as possible to boycott them.

Is there anything to back this up?

As hard as it is, I will stop buying it if there is proof they do invasive testing - I posted this on antohter thread tonight. I don't think they could make these claims without being challenged in court if they weren't true?

I have read about tests done in universities paid for by them. I cant search it all out now but will do when i feel better.

They are owned by the Colgate Palmolive people who do cosmetic testing too  >:(

I wonder if its one of those things where the parent companies tests but the company itself doesn't?

Isn't it like that with RC or JWB - can't remember which one it is.
