Today, I picked up a stray cat from a remote set of farm houses. She didn't belong to anyone in this hamlet and would have had to cross an A road and a small river to get to where she was. The nearest other house was around 3 miles away. I believe the poor love had been dumped! >:(
Anyway, when I first saw her I immediately thought she had something wrong with her mouth. She looked like she had a hair lip. :scared: Then she yawned and I could see what the problem was - apart from a couple of dodgey looking back molars, the poor love was toothless! :shify:
I never seen that before. It looked so odd. Has anyone else seen a cat like that? :innocent: I called her Olivia because she was in a bit of a state and I thought she deserved a grand name, at least. She'll be fine with our fosterer and I'm sure she'll be fit for rehoming soon. :Luv:
She even rolled over for a tummy tickle while in the vets waiting room! :Luv:

My Ging is only has 2 teeth and he don't half dribble but I love him just the same :Luv:
-
Kocka only had her fangs left but loads of cats end up toothless :(
-
Clapton has no teeth now and thats better than 2 ;D - he is eating better than ever without any.

Olivia is at Roxanne's now, Mark, but I'm hoping to invite myself round to see her next week. I'll get a picture then. She's a bit like Josh the Vicar's cat in looks.
She's fair won my heart this girl because even though people had been so horrid to her, all she wanted was a fuss and she was so relaxed in the vets. And yes, she did dribble a lot in the car.... :evillaugh: :Luv:
I think she'll be better off without those molars as well, but it's down to vets advice and they want her on antibiotics first to see if her gums pink up. ;)

My oldest cat has no teeth. Hasn't done for a couple of years! Doesn't seem to bother her at all, though.

The nearest I have seen a cat with no teeth is 2 fangs and one of those was broken.

My Ted only had one and a half upper fangs, didn't stop him eating anything he could get near to tho!
-
My Basil only has his 'fangs' left, bless him :Luv:. He manages very well though!
Olivia is an absolutely wonderful name and I'm sure it suits her :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

You can just see her odd but 'special' looking upper lip. :)

Aww, bless her. I have had 2 completely toothless cats (both taken out by vets), and a couple with very few teeth left - surprisingly, it was one of the ones with few teeth left that constantly had a sticky out tongue!! Ginger could even eat raw meat with no teeth, you just had to make sure it was small enough pieces for him, and he sulked if he didn't get his supper biccies.
