At 3am this morning, I was woken by the sound of something trying to get out through our catflap. Thinking it was Bilbo fancying a late night stroll, and knowing he couldn't get out, I ignored it and tried to get back to sleep.
The sound became louder, and then more frenzied. With this, I got up and went to the stairs. I could see Baggins halfway down, and Bilbo at the bottom. It then hit me - if I could see Billy and Baggy, it was something else trying to get out! I ran down, and into the kitchen, hitting the lights as I went. I was confronted by the sight of Tilston, the cat from the farm next door, frantically trying to escape out of the catflap.
Upon seeing a dishevelled, hairy me, his efforts were given renewed vigour and he managed to rip the catflap completely off the door and make good his escape!! So there I was at 3am rebuilding the catflap onto the door. Bilbo just sat and watched everything.
The funniest bit was after I'd fixed everything, and was on my way to bed, I passed Baggins who was sat looking at where the intruder had been and let out a little growl. Better late than never eh?
Laura slept through everything. Good job Tilston Cat didn't have a knife.

Its at times like that you wish you could video it isnt it - especially the closing growl!

Did Tilston get away with any goods in a swag bag though? :evillaugh:
Sounds like your two don't make very good guard cats :evillaugh: Cheese would have sorted em out for ya :shify:

  Bilbo was just sat watching. Not puffed up or growling, just ... observing. I think he's going to go and set fire to Tilston Cat's house later.
Baggins was so funny. It was as if it'd only just registered that there was an intruder in HIS house! Bless him.

For a small consideration :evillaugh:, Blip could come up and do a training course for your two, Carl. She is a scourge of intruding cats - and plastic bags (if you saw my story a few weeks ago)

That's just ace, Carl! Poor Baggie, it was probably a growl of disbelief.  Cats are magic. :wow:
