Why do they persist in burying everything they don't eat there and then? :-: Every time I go in to check them, they've gemmied the litter tray across the pen, and created a mini Vesuvius in cat litter over their feed bowl.
Why do they do it..? :shify:

It's instinctive. If they were in the wild, they would need to cover the remains of their meal to keep other predators off it, so they could come back and have another feed later. Pretty well all cats do it. Try feeding in smaller portions.

Yeah i read the this is a natural way to save food in the wild, so they bury it. I used to think they thought it smaelt bad like poo's so they were trying ti bury it.
Godd ole Desmond Morris books taught me diff!! ;D

Sometime's my cats will do this if there not keen on the food offered....prob saying il come back to that if nothing better offered (the cheeky monkey's lol!)

It's just so annoying! >:( :evillaugh:
Four weeks ago these poor kitties were grateful for any scraps they could dig out of the bins. But now if the catering isn't up to scratch, they turn their noses up. :snooty: :faint:
I'm spoiling them, aren't I..? :Luv: :evillaugh:
