Title: Anyone got some spare Pheasant feathers?
Post by: Pinkbear (Julie) on September 03, 2007, 23:04:14 PM
I'm finding feathers a wonderful tool in teaching my feral kittens to play. But I can't seem to find many good ones laying around.

Don't suppose we have a Pheasant farmer in our ranks?  :-: I'll pay for postage, obviously...  :)

ebay has loads.   http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=pheasant+feathers

either that or try and chat up a local butcher if they have "game" .... I'm sure they will slip you a few (specially if you wear your 6" heels  ;) )

Ahuh! Sam has been reading my advice as to what to do with an ex partner who needs taking down a peg. :evillaugh:

I will look into Ebay but I begruge paying the kind of postage they often ask for. I don't mind making a contribution to charity, but why should someone profit from me trying to help homeless kittens?  :tired:

Yes, please, MM.  :wow:

Seagulls tail feathers, pigeons feathers, all that kind of thing. I used to see absolutely loads in London but since moving to 'the country' I don't see diddly...  :shify:

They've absolutely murdered the one pheasant feather I had.  :evillaugh:

Would peacock train feathers be any good?  If so, PM me your address and I'll send some over if I can work out how to pack them.

Lie them flat between two pieces of cardboard then tape round the edges.  They should be fine. and will go through the letterbox easily!  ;)
