:'( :'( :'(
what more can i say
i took her to the vets yestoday , she was breathing bad again , he gave her anti-inflam inject in form of pain killer not steriod as she is at the specialist on the 13th sept and he didnt want to supress symptoms he said she has fluid back on lungs
well at 3am this morn i was woke to her being sick and struggling to breath , i cleaned sick up and sat on the floor holding her mouth open so she could get her breath i was crying , it took nearly 30mins to get her breathing stable i was just about to go to emergency vet
I picked her up she was exorsted , she slept all night with me
went to vets today and he has given her a steriod as her breathing is very noisy and you can here the fluid on chest , i ended up crying in the vets i felt stupid , she so lovely she lets you do anything to her she is such a gentle cat she even put her bum in the air for her temp doing shes so comicle sometimes
theres nothing anyone can say ....we should get answers soon and she should be ok now till 13th , hubby cant get time off to drive us untill 13th , its 3 hours away
i was upset cause today i actually thought that they might say that theres nothing they can do for her and the older she gets the more frequent its happening ( shes 18 month ) and the more non-exstent her nostrils are
i think the only thing they need to do it a nose job but the face xray will prove it
shes catching up on sleep and shes breathing easier and shes eaten all her dinner
please pray that she will be ok untill 13th :(

Poor Mango, I am so sorry.
Arent they doing anything for the fluid in the lungs, Kocka was given a ......sorry cant remember what they called but an injection that reduces fluids in the body and put on a drip. also I think antibiotics.
I honestly cant understand why your vet couldnt get her seen as an emergency by the specialist cos for sure she is one.
I hope that her appointment comes quickly, I feel so sorry for her and you.

we could have gone this week but my dad is in the bhamas and ian my hubby works for him
i told my dad how porley mango gets but he wouldnt let ian have time off to take us >:( as ian has to cover . he has been too busy to skive off or we would have gone but it will take 3 hours to get there and we have to have a consultation and drive back
we may have to leave her for a couple of days depending on wat is wrong
my dad unfortunaltly is not a big animal lover :( he is work mad but does have wages to pay
mango usually as antibiotics as well but he hasnt given them this time he said that the steriod will help to disperse the fluid , if i dont think shes picking up i will go stight back , my vets is open 7 days and they are very open to us dropping in , the vet always rings the day after to check on her
shes seems a little happier she has just gone over to luna and pounced on her and then laid back down so she must be feeling better
its very sad shes only young and wants to play and cant
we got da bird this wk she pounced a couple of times and then laid down snorting and struggling so i have put it away untill shes better for her and luna to share untill luna wreks it :shy:

Poor Mango. Roll on 13th Sept. I hope the specialist can do something with her nose to give her some permanent relief from the breathing problems.
-
Sorry Mango isnt doing well at the moment.
It so horrible to watch them struggle for breath (had it with Issey remember).
Hope the meds kick in and keep her stable until the 13th.
Give her a big kiss from me X

Roll on 13th - hopefully is is just a case of opening up the airways surgically. Its not a major thing - I had it done less than 2 years ago (septoplasty) and its really not that bad (not nice though - like a bad cold :evillaugh: )
I'm surprised that your dad is being the way he is. Animal lover or not, it affects you!

Is there not a drug that your vet con prescribe for the fluid build up? Jumpy takes Frusecare for his fluid on the lung.
-
Poor Mango  Fingers crossed the specialist can give you some positive news

Aww, poor Mango, fingers crossed the specialist can help.
