He keeps shutting the flippin doors! He's become a bit obsessed with getting behind them and pushing them closed. He doesn't latch them shut but he does push them so that they are as closed as they can be without actually latching shut. Then of course he can't open them. he shut himself in the bathroom twice this morning (I was in bed so had to keep getting up to open the door for him) and now he keeps shutting himself in the living room (and therefore Jaffa out of the living room). Hopefully Jaffa will be able to open them from the other side (just push them) but I'm a bit worried he'll push them too hard and actually latch them shut. If he does that when I'm at work he's going to find himself shut in the living room or kitchen all day (the bathroom door is wedged open with a box/bed during the day) and poor Jaffa shut out. As the litter tray is in the living room that would not be good! Lets hope this silly phase passes

I am afriad Misa is good at this and during the night I was woken by a door banging and was too scared to get up and see why!!!!!!!!
In the morning I had forgotten about it and found Misa had shut himself in the study, then I remembered, boy was I relieved and so was Misa of course
I now put a teatowel or socks or something over tops of doors so they cant shut more than a cats width, especially when I go away over night. ;D

Cody doesnt do that but if the doors are shut and he wants through he just sits and paws like crazy, doesnt scratch them just used his pads..its very annoying. The stupid thing is he has a couple of times opened the doors but is now obviously too lazy :tired:
-
smidgen does this and scratches at the carpet to get out. As a result, the carpet in the spare room is now in shreds. Good thing I didn't like the colour

Gill's idea is good - or maybe wedge some door stoppers underneath so they are kept open?
I have a problem with the living room door sometimes wedging shut when I open the front door - so I have to open the front door as wide as it will go before running out the front door to work :evillaugh: three cats trapped in the living room all day will not be happy campers

That's a good idea about putting something over the top of the door to prevent it from shutting all the way. Although knowing Mosi he'll spend all his time trying to get at whatever I put on the top!

We hang towels over the top of the doors or hangers to stop the little darlings shutting them!
-
susanne you could always just send him up to me if it is that annoying, i am the opposite and always telling folk to shut the doors :tired:
Mind you on second thoughts...MOSI AND CODY TOGETHER IN ONE HOUSE :scared:
:evillaugh:

That would NOT be a good idea! ;D

No LOL I think i'd very quickly be moving out and staying with you letting them get on with their
destruction playing :innocent:

Mosi would be a great
pain help around the house. He loves to "help" with housework. And he'll tell you if you've missed a bit.
