I've finally managed to get a pic of my new cat, well he'll be mine from next Saturday when i pick him up (can't wait!!!!!!!) He's huge but i just fell in love with him when i saw him i wasn't even looking for another cat! He's called Ralph which after speaking to some people on here has now really grown on me.
-
Awwww Ralph is sooo handsome :Luv:
He isn't huge he's just cuddley :evillaugh:
Can't wait till next Saturday to hear all about him and more pics of course ;)
-
He is cuddly, apparently he's been a stray most of his life they think but the poor thing has been in a rescue centre for the last few months which has helped him adjust to people and they say he's calmed down alot as when he first came in he was quite aggressive. Just used to fending for himself i guess!!
-
Oooo im in love, i adore bruiser cats :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: :blow kiss: :blow kiss: :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
I like the name Ralph ;D
I assume he was entire when they got him, they tend to get soppy when their hormones calm down.
I hope your other cats like him :luck:
-
Get ready to have your circulation cut off when he gets on your lap - my Bob was a big boy and there were times ....
-
:Luv: :Luv: what a handsome big boy, cant wait to see more of him and your other babies
-
What a scrummy monster :) I particularly love the 'reserved' sign just visible in the pic - he's going to be one happy kitty, hope he gets on with Jet & Cleo in super fast time ;D
-
Yes he was entire when he was taken to the centre, hence one of the reasons he's s large! They say his size is why people haven't really taken to him and no-one wanted him until me!!!
Yes Helen i love the Reserved sign keep looking at it and thinking he's mine!!! I've warned Jet and Cleo that they all have to get on, they'll be on their best behaviour!!!
-
he is lovely i love ginger cats
-
Oh what a gorgeous, gorgeous cat - you are so doing the right thing - the thought of him staying at the rescue centre is just too much!! One tip for having a very big ginger cat - careful how you pick up the cat carrier ... one attempt to take Bertie (19lb) to the vet last November has resulted in months of chiro appointments!!! :tired:
-
 Thanks for the warning, he is big but he looks like he needs shearing, his fur is that thick!!!!! Oh can't wait for Saturday now, it'll fly i hope!!
-
He is gorgeous :Luv: I'm not surprised you fell for him. I have a ginger and white myself so I do have a soft spot for them ;D
-
Ralfh is gorgeous.
How much does he weigh?
-
I'm not sure how much he weighs at the moment, will find out when i get him saturday. He's big lol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
He's gorgeous :Luv:
-
They say his size is why people haven't really taken to him
I have a large bigboned cat, and I love him to bits, he's my big teddybear.
-
They say his size is why people haven't really taken to him
That's just awful .... big cats are the best lap warmers, don't people realise that?!
-
I think 6.7kg :shify:
-
I just adore big chunky boys :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: My Lenny must be somewhere between 20 and 24lbs I reckon............huuuuge
-
wow that's a big cute cuddly cat, i'll weigh Ralphie when i get him!!!

Hello everyone
I've not been online alot these last few days as i've been moving house and what a nightmare that was!!! Just got a few more boxes to unpack and then i can relax.
Picked my new baby up on Saturday - Ralph, weighed his this morning and he's 5.7 kg. He's just a big soft bundle of fun, he follows me around wherever i go and meows if i leave him on his own. Luckily one of my cats gets on great with him, Cleo is a little bit dubious but i suppose it will take time.
The centre told me that he had been an injured stray and had spent ages with them as people walked past him and chose the little kittens instead!! He'd had a condition where the eyelashes on one of his eyes had started growing inwards towards his eye (got badly infected) so the vet actually removed a very small part of his lower eyelid!! He's soooooooo cute and already one of the family, we've had a couple of scares where he's decided to hide and i've spent ages searching outside to see where he's gone!!!
Will post more photos when i finally unpack my camera
Bye for now
-
what a beautiful puddy ! you must be so excited (as I am !!!)
-
Aw, he's lovely :Luv:
Sounds like he's settling in really well, and I'm sure they'll all be great pals before you know it ;D
-
Only 5.7kg, im surprised, the photo made him look huge! The problem he had is called entropion ;D he is one posh puss having had an eye lift
-
I have a photo of a cat i had to take home for a few days when i was at work, he was a cpl young black puss that had severe entropion in one eye, simple op and totally sorts the problem out. Really unusual in cats !
Gorgeous pud by the way :)

Glad he's home safe and sound and you're move went OK, looking forward to hearing how he's been getting on... and pics of course :evillaugh:

Awwww, so glad Ralphie is settling in okay :Luv:
