Hi Dawn.

I got them nearly a month and a half ago.

I feel so lucky.

I have lost many hours in playtime and just watching them lol.

How are your others getting on with them, if I remember rightly you had a two others (a black one and a resuce ragdoll??) have they settled in? Are you going to show them, too many questions I know!!! lol

They all get on fine thank my lucky stars.

Dont know about showing. Might do. need to go to some shows and get some experience first.

I go to lots of shows and love them, unfortunately none of my brood would be very good at being shown but one day I would love to have a neuter that I could show.  Tilly is pedigree but not show quality and growls if she is picked up by people she doesn't know so would be no good at all, Amber likes being handled but would drown the judge in dribble!!!  Have fun what ever you decide!

Thank you all. I think they are all gorgeous.

I have wanted ragdolls for ages. I rescued a 7yr old bi colour link raggie called Maddy last year and now have 3 !!!!

Elle the female kitten (the smaller one) has no fear and happily sits on my lap in the car. She comes to pets corner with me and all the staff love to stroke her. She turns heads wherever we are.

I would like to show them but I think their eye colour may be a little too light blue for showing. I know the darker the blue, the better.

Does anyone know if in ragdolls, their blue eye colour gets darker as they get older ?

They are gorgeous   ;D ;D   and ragdolls are so like birmans cept for the feet,,,,,,,,,,,,,wish some one what the difference is between the two breeds.

I dont know if their eye colour will get darker, I believe the points do. If anyone knows it is likely to be Cosmic  cos she bought one to show and I believe the first show is on 25th Aug......she is trying to get it qualifyed for the Supreme this year.

They are absolutely adorable!  :Luv:

Could I show a neuter ragdoll as my 7yr old raggie Maddy is beautiful and has lovely dark blue eyes

That depends on 2 things
1) Having the correct registration documents
2) Although not compulsory, it's courtesy to ask the breeder whether s/he is ok with her being shown.  If a  cat isn't sold as show quality breeders don't always like them to be shown.  The cat has the breeder's prefix so the breeder's reputation is at stake and many do not want cats that aren't show quality appearing in shows.

If you don't have registration documents you could still show her in the household pet category.  7 may be a bit old to start showing, but not impossible to show her at that age.

Those little ones are absolutely gorgeous but I think Maddy is in a league of her own.  I think she is stunning.

She is gorgeous  ;D

However I dont think you are allowed to show pedigrees in the House cat section of shows but Witty knows about this and am sure she told me that Pearl was marked down by one judge cos he thought she was a pedigree. although she clearly isnt.

Yes thought so.

I have her pedigree papers but not the pink slip. I dont think I can get that as her previous owner died and the breeder I rescued her from stopped taking my calls the day after I got her home.

I dont think she would tolerate being shown as she was so timid when I rescued her. She has only started getting real confidence since the kittens arrived.

I suspect she would be happier not being shown and that she might get very scared.

Oh yes the pink slip, I have one for the birmans but its in the owners name who was the two owners ago and as she would have to sign it for them to be in my name I decided it wasnt worth it!

Very strange that the breeder stopped speaking to you, was it a dodgy breeder?

All I can say are the facts.

She gave me Maddy for free. I Took maddy to my vet a few days later for a general check and was shocked to find out she had horrendous gingivitis and I forked out nearly £200 within a week of getting her on dental extractions and treatment.

Dont know why but She would never answer the phone or answer my emails.

I dont bedrudge paying as I love Maddy very much and feel Maddy is a totally different happy cat with me and my other raggies, but I cant help feeling that any reputable breeder or rescue would probably quite quickly find out about problems like this and so I cant help feeling that the reason it was so easy for me to get Maddy was because the breeder who rescued madddy knew and didnt want to pay. But then they might have genuinely not know but I remember them telling me when I met Maddy that Maddy didnt like anyone touching her head. I honestly dont know what to think about it all. It really doesnt matter anymore. I have a stunning Raggie who has really come out of her shell and is lovely.
