Poor little one was brought here late last night and has been suffering from cat flu for some time; it seems he was dumped a few days ago and had been sleeping in the finders garden. He seems to be troubled by his back paw also.He will be seeing vet tomorrow morning. Meanwhile I have started a course of antibiotics, and eye cream and he is already responding to T.L.C. His chest is infected but he should be ok.
The people left him in the garden but brought him to me when they realised he was a danger to their cat - how very sad that he would otherwise have been ignored.

The people left him in the garden but brought him to me when they realised he was a danger to their cat
Almost unbelievable, but I know must be true. I remember once someone rang me about a cat in their garden it had been involved in a RTA 3 days earlier but they thought it had died, then when one of the family was looking at the body they saw movement and decided to ring me. Thankfully after a few weeks of cage rest I found him a new home
-
at least in your case Ela, they thought it was dead - what sort of person would leave an animal, any animal, suffering and dying in their garden when a quick phonecall was all that was needed. Some people should not be allowed to have animals. Pity help their resident moggy.

Oh T this wee boy has brought tears to my eyes :'(
How could anyone leave this wee man to fend for himself the evil :censored: :censored: >:(
Thank god he is with you and getting all the love and cuddles he deserves
Sending him lots of love, cuddles and healing vibes xxxxxxx
-
Poor little man and you can see from his eyes that he is not well :(
-
Hope this little man pulls through.
How on earth could anyone just leave him :-:
-
at least in your case Ela, they thought it was dead
But the poor little one had to lay in that garden for 3 days with a broken pelvis and other painful injuries, it does not bear thinking about.
-
Oh T... :( How awful for the little mite. You can see he's not well.
He has the best care. Have you named him yet T? If you haven't, keeping with the native american theme: Wahkan... means "Sacred" in Sioux.
I love those HUGE ears. He is just beautiful. :Luv:
I have to resist a visit T, I want to bring them all home :-:
Big hug from Aunty Ruth xxx

how very sad that he would otherwise have been ignored.
It makes me feel so angry - likewise with the cat whom Ela describes - but at least he is in the right place now, Teresa. I like Ruths name suggestion for him.
-
It is very common for people to ignore strays both adult and kitten; they are either reported quickly by very caring people; Or reported when they become a nuisance or threat to health of the finders own pet.
We sadly aren`t the nation of animal lovers we pretend to be.
I have already sent a shortlist of names to committee,am awaiting final vote
-
Fingers crossed for him, at least they got him to you, however belated it was.
-
Aww he's lovely, bless him please give him a cuddle from me
-
Aw poor baby.....what i want to know is how these ppl (monsters) sleep on a night >:(

My Dylan would like to say he fully approves of this little one's name and he sends gentle head butts to him and hopes he gets well soon :Luv:
-
Aww poor baby hope he is feeling better soon and he finds a lovely new home
-
Hi T , how is the wonderful Dylan today :cuddle:
-
Dylan is going from strength to strength, his eyes are clear though still a little sore and the green discharge has left his airways, One ear is red raw inside as a result of the severe earmites but other than that I`d say he is a very happy chappie. :)
-
Good work, Teresa! Cats' powers of recovery never cease to amaze me.
Just as well in cases like Dylan's, of course >:(
-
Awwww bless his wee paws :Luv:
Well done T Dylan is a wee cracker :Luv: :Luv:
-
Aww, bless him.
-
Heres a picture of Dylan one week on, his ears as you can see are still a mess despite twice daily treatment, good news is he can hear now and as you can see his eyes are at last clean and bright.
-
he looks wonderful - congratulations T on such an amazing turnaround :wow:
-
Dylan is gorgeous, hope he continues in the right direction, with your care Teresa I'm sure he will. :)
I couldn't ignore an adult stray never mind a kitten, some people >:(
-
Look at him! He must feel so much better with his eyes treated and I am sure you will get his ears sorted quickly.
:Luv:
-
Wow how good does he look. I can imagine what his ears where like to actually deafen him :(
-
Bless him....it'l be great for him getting his hearing back :Luv:
-
His ears have been cleaned and canuaral applied twice daily despite a huge protest from him,yet I still think hes got sacks of spuds growing in their. Sad thing is he is now on the 5 days without Canaural.
-
When Blip first came, it took us EIGHT WEEKS to clear her ears. So I empathise.
-
Would he be able to go back on after 5 days :-:
Hopefully he wont need to.....i always clean my cats ears with sensitive baby wipes....not as scratchy as cotton wool ;)
-
Yes back on after a 5 day break, and yes I use baby wipes for everything :)
-
Awwww Dylan is gorgeous :Luv: :Luv:
Hope his ears clear up soon xx
-
Dylan has a new home :)
-
:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Hurrah for little Dylan, enjoy your new home little one :Luv:
-
Bless him, Dylan, lots of hugs and happiness in your new home - you are lovely and deserve the very best. Well done Teresa, another happy story.
-
"Great news" ;D ;)
-
Jut caught up with this thread. What a gorgeous little cat. How "people" can just leave an injured animal to its own devices is beyond me. I think think there are a lot of people that ignorantly think they are "letting nature take its course" >:( With Auntie T's TLC he will beA1 in no time :Luv:
I read on an american site that people are using hand sanitizer for earmites as the regular stuff is too harsh. I would be wary about puting it on sore ears though as its almost pure alcohol

Thank you, being able to see the transformation is the wonderful part of rescue which of course spurs you on to the next little one.
