We have been helping a couple with a feral cat and kittens. The hubby trapped mum and 5 kittens just over 9 weeks ago. The kittens were about 4 or 5 weeks old.
The couple intended to keep mum cat and 2 kittens and the other 3 were rehomed. mum was being treated with kid gloves as she is still quite feral, not allowed out yet.
Mum cat had been getting tubbier and as it has now been over the 9 weeks we were beginning to think she was just getting extra fat with being penned up and eating good food.
Today she has given birth to 7 kittens so she must have just caught before we trapped her >:(
I've been told it looks like 2 blacks, 4 greys and a tabby.
We do seem to be in kitten time - just told of another heavily pregnant female on the loose, luckily the reporter is going to cope with the help of a borrowed pen.
