Hi all
As the title suggests, I am worried about a pair of kittens in Ellesmere Port, not very old, that belong to an aquaintance of mine. They are being left for days at a time and being allowed outside despite having no vaccinations, not spayed/neutered and the garden is not secure with dogs either side!!!
I dont know what to do!!! Should I ring the RSPCA and inform them? I know that illegal drugs are being left lying around in the premises and this is a further worry to me!!!
I know that maybe I shouldnt be dithering about writing this, but I just need some advice!!!

well if it were me i'd have to confront these people head on and basically say the rehome the kittens or keep them in and do all the right things by them and stop leaving drugs that they could eat or they might find more trouble if rspca / police find drugs there.
-
Call the RSPCA and get them to earn their money for a change. Leaving young kittens to roam is neglect as far as I'm concerned. >:(
-
Yep would call the RSPCA in the first instance.

Out of those mentioned above I think they only thing the RSPCA may act upon is if they were being left for days on end and no food/water provided. I am not saying it is right but sadly thats they way it is. I would also remind people that we are an animals only voice. If the RSPCA do not take action and the kittens remain outside maybe the little ones will get lost. ;)

I can help "lose" the kittens at the weekend if needed :shify:
Happen to be in Ellesmere Port on Saturday :shy: and I have a borrowed losing kittens device.... ;)
-
yes it so sad, people leave kittens to do there own thing and they wander off............ ;)
-
If you have no luck, pm me asap and I'll get onto for you.......I will need address and your contact details.

Shocking indeed ;) how often this kind of this happens.

The person/people who the kittens belong to work with my OH. One of them is going to Legoland with her son and the guy is coming round mine (OH informed me lastnight) to watch the footy on saturday, so the kittens will be left for about 3 days in total!!
Been told that they will be indoors during this time, but, they are only young, yes they do have each other but what about food etc?
-
Surely that is an RSPCA case if there ever was one?
Why do these people bother getting cats if they don't want to look after them properly?! >:(
-
so the kittens will be left for about 3 days in total!!
That is not acceptable.
-
I know!! I told them that cats dont really discriminate between who they mate with but I got laughed at... They were booked in with the vets to get something done, but a weekend out was more important so it was cancelled!!!
If I ring the RSPCA, will it show on the phone bill as I dont pay for it, OH does and I never really get to see a bill!! He might ask questions etc!!!
-
Would your OH not agree that this is not on?
I get bills for the phone but I dont look at each number, just scan over the bill. Can you ring froma mobile or payphone?
-
Have decided to top up my pay as you go mobile and use that!
-
Good luck! Let us know what happens.
Poor little ones :(
-
Poor wee mites :(
Keep us up to date please

I rang the RSPCA yesterday and spoke to a really nice lady. I explained the whole situation to her and she took it all down. She asked if I wanted to know the outcome of all investigations, and of course I said yes!
-
Fingers crossed something is done to help these poor babies xx
-
Oh good to hear you have got through to them - hope they send someone out ASAP and that these people are reprimanded >:(
I will be thinking of this over the weekend, especially as i will be in the area
-
Tell me about it :( I am seriously thinking of "misplacing" my aquaintance's keys then doing a runner to the Port... Dont know what I will do then... I havent really thought this through, but when an animal is left alone, I guess that you have to act on impulse?!
P.S. The guy is my OH's friend and I just put up with him!! Suppose I shouldn't even let the git into my home!!
-

You are a better person than me. If he came into our house he would get nothing but black looks from me, however, I don't think my husband would have a friend like that, he daren't ;D
-
Just had a call from the RSPCA
The inspector has been round to the house and was told that someone is always on hand to feed the kittens when the owner is away :censored:
I just feel like I wasted my time!

Sarah
Get Cheesecat Dawn down and help the darling little kittens disappear somewhere nice and loving. I doubt they will even notice.
-
I think I am in the wirral on Saturday so I will be nearby and still have a trap.. let me know ;D
-
Just spoke to my OH (who works with the guy) and the RSPCA never visited the house in question when someone was home... Just left a card and asked the owners to ring back!
-
I hope these 2 dont wander off, as cats do when they get bored and lonely...

A friend of my brother's had six kittens and let them all wander free in the garden ... she came home one day when they were three weeks old and they'd all disappeared - never found. It really upset me and I wished my bro (who's a bit clueless about animal-related things) had told me sooner so I could have called the RSPCA.
