Title: Lovely home awaits (kent way) FIV/deaf or middle aged cat for indoor home.
Post by: Canterbury_cats (Sharon) on August 08, 2007, 13:08:29 PM
Hi all
I have to go out in a minute..But had an elderly couple on the phone who want to rehome a middle aged cat (female pref) as an indoor home.. They are experienced cat people lost their cat recently.. No other animals and would consider FIV or deaf cats... Bare in mind travelling of course, but anyone out ther with a worthy candidate that fits the bill? We dont have anything suitable for them at the moment, but perhaps another cat can be given a chance....

Around 7 yo 8yrs old, pref female but would consider male!

They are in Canterbury and sound lovely..............

I was wondering about the white cat living in a car in Nuneaton? - any news there?

Not often you find someone that wants to rehome a FIV or Deaf or Middle aged ! (or all 3 lol)

Good on them, I am sure there are many cats that will fit the bill

You would think so wouldnt you but i havnt found any....! Trouble is the distance, these people dont drive.. Surely there must be something out there... I dont want to loose them because we cannot find anything!

If distance/driving is the problem, I don't mind collecting from places like London.

Perhaps one of the northern rescues would be glad of this home..?

The AARU in Nottingham have lots of FIV kitties in desperate need of homes:  http://www.aaru.org.uk/FIVCatsappeal.htm

I would be willing to assist with transporting if necessary.

Hi there

I am currently fostering 2 year old Tilly. She is a wonderful tortie girl and despite the fact that she was a home cat, when we tested her she came up FIV positive. She is a wonderful little kitty and I have posted a photo of her and a brief summary on a separate thread under "Homes Needed".

If the couple are still waiting for a cat, she may be perfect for them. If we co-ordinate with home checks, we can sort out some way of getting Tilly to them - I might even do it myself.

Just let me know.

 :thanks:
