I found this lovely pic on my phone of both my boys* - Sooty passed away just over a week ago now, so it was lovely to find this pic that I took only a couple of weeks ago, the last one I have of him.

Much better, thanks for asking.  It's been an incredibly painful week or so and I miss the old boy like mad, but as time goes by we are starting to celebrate his life and think of him fondly rather than in those traumatic last hours - we are both 100% certain that we did the right thing at the right time so that makes it easier to accept I guess.  Now I'm looking at photos of him and they are making me smile instead of cry.

Ahhh what a lovely photo.  So pleased you are beginning to be able to smile now when you think of Sooty. 

As you know the kindest thing any of us can do for our furbabes is to let them go when the time is right and if necessary make the crossing to the other side as easy and painless as possible for them.   :hug:
