Just had to pop one of the little one's to the vets and Sarah was asking if I could take a tortie/white cat in :Crazy: At the moment the answer has to be no :( Anyway, someone walked into the other surgery the other day, dumped the cat in the waiting room and walked out :Crazy: :censored: :censored: :censored: Poor little sweetheart, how can anyone do that >:( I suppose though it's better than some of the things that could have happened to her. She's quite young, between 1-2, an absolute sweetheart apparently but obviously not sure what she's like with other cats etc but Sarah said she's extremely sweet and a proper little fusspot :Luv:

Thats exactly how I adopted my Amber - her owner walked into a vets, Amber in her arms wrapped in a towel, shoved her into the arms of the receptionist walked out and left her! There was a note in the bundle that said - I can't look after this cat anymore, its 24 yrs old!
Needless to say, she probably wasnt 24, but definitely very old, and I heard about her, and she came to live with me, she lived for another 4 years - so 28 - maybe!!

I just makes you wonder how some people's brains work (or don't work more like :Crazy: ) The longer I have my cats, the harder it would be to part from them. I'm sure there are some cases where due to illness etc where people have no choice but even then, most people would go out of their way to rehome to another family member. These people should be shot >:(

To be honest is not like that with me. There that has shocked you hasn't it. ;D In truth once I decide to keep or adopt a pet there would be no way on this earth that it would not be a lifetime commitment.
What does annoy me is when I receive a phone call asking if I will take in an old cat, I perhaps say I am sorry we have no room but I will place it in the list of cats waiting to come in. Then the caller will say that is OK I will have a kitten and then the cat can go in its place.

Ron told me a tale which has really got to me. I've heard a lot of cruelty stories, but every now and again it cuts deep....
DON'T READ ON IF YOU GET EASILY UPSET!!!
He had a call from some evil sounding woman saying if he didn't come and get her kitten this minute, she was going to drown it. Of course, he jumped right in the car.
When he got there, this woman was swearing and cursing saying the kitten wouldn't use it's tray. Kitten was around 10 weeks. When Ron picked up the kitten, it's eyes were glued shut with gunk. He took it straight to his vet.
The vet sedated puss and carefully opened it's eyes. Inside the eye lid, underneath all the gunk, was cat litter!! :rage: She had rubbed kitten's face so hard in the litter that granules had got inside his eye lids. :'( :'(
After lots of nursing, Ron and the vet managed to save one of the eyes, and puss now lives in Ron's house. He's a real soppy little soul. :Luv: :Luv:
I think anyone dumping a cat or kitten at the vet is very unthoughtful and should never be allowed to have a pet again. But I do think these pets could have ended up in worse situations. :(

Oh! how truly dreadful. I hope he reported her to the RSPCA - that is unforgiveably brutal. She should never be allowed to have animals of any kind!

I believe it did go to court. I don't know what happened to her - I was too stunned to take much else in, and was too busy making a big, big fuss of puss. :Luv: :Luv:

If this was me I can truthfull say I would go back to that person grab her & RAM her face in the litter tray & see how see likes it...... i would make sure it was full of cat poo first.
I wouldnt hesitate dishing it back out to her. If talk/educating dosnt work on these humans (loosly put) then the only way they will understand is by doing to them what they dishout to animals .....that way they will understand pretty dam quick

Oh that poor baby :'( Glad kitty is away from her now and safe. I just pray she never gets hold of any more animals, if she's done it once, she will more than likely do it again if its her mentality :(
Totally agree that someone should do that to her, as words would probably just result in a barrage of verbal abuse.

Poor little babe, and I hope she rots in hell :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: I must admit, I do find it harder and harder to be nice to people as time goes on and most I wouldn't :censored: on if they were on fire. A few months ago, I was in the vets and the vet nurse came out, and asked if I'd take a cat otherwise they would have to pts >:( She said a lady had took her in because she was having the odd accident and she wasn't prepared to take her home with her. I called her an evil :censored: , little knowing that she was still in the consulting room and she'd heard everything I said :evillaugh: Anyway, I went in and tried to offer a little advice but she was adamant >:( >:( She'd taken the cat in and if I didn't want her, she was going to stand there whilst they put her to sleep :censored: :censored: She was approx 2/3 year old and an absolute babe, her name is Jasmine and surprise, surprise I still have her :Luv: :Luv: I did make the woman give me a donation which she gave begrudgingly but I pointed out, if she had her pts, she would have to pay £20 anyway, and that is what I wanted to take her ;) I thought there was no way she was going to get away with doing what she was doing so I stood my ground with her. As far as I'm concerned, people like that don't deserve animals and I have no respect whatsoever for them, an animal should be for life even with their little imperfections.........and it should be the humans that are grateful for having them not the other way round >:(

I think that is a very good idea that folk donate a minimum donation after all thery are dumpin their animals & should pay something towards vet bills etc. And when standing your ground with someone so to speak you will find that they are the yellowbellyied ones that will back down a hell of a lot quicker as they would be more scared of you facing up to you especialy in public ...word gets around about them

I think people have to stand up for what they believe in, and with me, I don't give a :censored: how big they are, I will not back down if they do an injustice to an animal.
Animals can't speak for themselves, we have to do it for them and people have to realise, animals are not something they throw out with the garbage, they are a living being and they deserve better.

We have a guy at the back of us, he really thinks he's something.....does weights and been in the army etc etc. A few months ago, he set his dogs onto one of my cats that had been catnapped by a neighbour. I went round there with steam coming out of my ears and banged on his door. Everyone was warning me off as he didn't appreciate anyone confronting especially a woman :rofl: That was like a red rag to a bull being a typical Taurean :evillaugh: All the neighbours are scared of him but that is what he wants, and until people stand up to idiots like him, he'll carry on thinking he rules the place. I'd never set eyes on him before but I think I left a lasting impression on him :evillaugh: :evillaugh: I told him in no uncertain terms not to underestimate me as I would have him, regardless of how hard he was :innocent: He stood there puffing up his chest in front of all the neighbours trying to intimidate me :innocent: The end result was, I did get an apology off him and he did get a nice visit off the police as well and funny enough, I've had no more hassle ;)
If I'd have gone round though when I was calm, I probably would have been :censored: myself so being slightly wound up did help in dealing with him ;)

Thats it dawn these losely put humans just do not have the balls when someone faces them up & whats better if its done publicy so eveyone is made aware of what they are & doing ...they go away shamed sooooooo must better if publicy shamed.........NAME & SHAME ...........thats whay i say ....oh & sooo much better if itas a woman giving a ticking down to a male ...trying showin ya face in the pub after that lol
