Title: Looking to Home a Kitten(s)
Post by: PandaFi on July 21, 2007, 20:36:53 PM
Hi, I'm looking for a kitten(s) for my mum. We already have a cat, but he recently lost his companion, and we lost a well beloved family pet. If anyone can helpout, it would be greatly appreciated. We would be willing to have one kitten, or take on a pair. Any breed, any sex. Thank you   :Luv:

Hi PandaFi and  :welcome: to Purrs

We have a large number of rescues on here, covering pretty much the whole country.  Whereabouts are you?

It is sad to hear that you have lost your beloved cat.  May I ask, if it is not too painful, how did the little one pass away?

Have you tried contacting all your local rescues ..... I've included a link to the catchat page for Dumfries & Galloway listing rescues in your area:  http://www.catchat.org/adoption/dmg.html

There must be a rescue near your area?

I prefer my kittens to be a little bit older, I like them when they are small and cute and don't do much running around, when they get to 1 year is best as they start to calm down, anything in between they are constantly on the go and I'm always falling over them lol.

I've tried two in my local area - central dumfries and cumbria as well as cat action trust, but i'm still waiting to hear back from them. We are looking for a kitten because we've never really had a cat all its life, mainly started older, except my current cat...rescued him from outside when he was only little, been great to watch him grow!!!

Done!  ;)

They're a bit younger than we'd prefer (7 weeks) but it's an improvement on the 5-6 weeks some idiots think is okay.

I don't know why my search came through on the London board - I live in Kent!

But I found it by selecting the 'map' option and a little tree came up in Dumfries.  ;)

Fingers crossed they haven't run out yet, PandaFi.  :innocent:

Anything's possible but if you could get one more locally, that would be better and less stressful on the cats.  If you don't have any joy, let me know as I may have a couple of contacts down that way  ;)

UPDATE!! Found a kittens!!!! Well two actually! My neighbours cat had kittens about six weeks ago, and we didn't know until today! So we picked two out today, and can get them in two weeks!!! Two little girls! They are so adorable! It wasn't a planned pregnancy, so the mummy cat is going to the vets soon! One kitten is kind of tabby, with white paws and chest, and the other is black and white. So name suggestions are welcomes!!!
