Just had a look on a rescue site & theres two 7 year old cats up for rehoning 1 has 1 eye & nearly blind in the other & it states that they are dependent on ecah other so why are they willing to seperate these cats for rehoming as that age they have been togther all their lives.

Are these cats coming from a charity? Why are they willing to separate them?
-
CC its a rescue well known one
-
Well known for bad things? If so I think I know who.
They should not be doing this when the cats obviously need each other.

Right the rescue theses cats are in is many tears, scrol down to KIKI AND TIKI http://www.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/catslookingforhomes.htm
I still think its a bad move rehoming thses 2 seperate if someone didnt want both as they have been together alltheir lives & especialy the blind cat depending on the other.
Might be worth an email to them & ask if they reconsdier the 'rehomed separately' bit how about any of you lot droping them an email aswell? :-:

11-07-07 Kiki and Tiki are 7yr old boys. Kiki has lost one eye and is nearly blind in the other. They are very dependent on each other but would manage being rehomed separately if Kiki had another cat for guidance. Kiki will need a safe indoor home. These boys are extremely friendly and like nothing more than to sit on a lap.
In an ideal world a pair would be great but most people probably wouldnt want a normal and a special needs cat so in one way i can see that homing the healthy one on his own gets him sorted. Hopefully someone will fall in love with them both. If it were me i would go for a paired homing.
-
I think it would be cruel to split them up - the blind one is probably very dependent on the other :'( (and vice versa)
I also think anyone that would take one without the other is quite heartless and probably not the best person to have any animals.

There is no way we would ever seperate a pair who love/rely each other.
