Title: I AM NOT TOO HAPPY
Post by: Ela on July 19, 2007, 10:48:47 AM
I have just received a phone call from a very nice sounding lady saying when can I bring in the 3 kittens.
Me             What 3 kittens?
Caller:         My Daughters kittens.
Me:            Sorry I don’t know anything about it.
Caller:         Well she said you said that you will take them on the 20th.
Me:            What’s her name and where does she live?
Caller:         XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXX
Me:.           Oh! I do know about her a little a few weeks ago she asked us to
take in a mum and 5 kittens, a while later we contacted her to say
we could take them but she said she wanted to keep them.
Caller:         Oh! she didn't tell me that.
Me:            I know last week she contacted Donna by text and asked her to
collect the kittens. Donna then rang and asked who she was. Then
advised her we were now full and she should contact me. Donna
rang me to tell me but I received no call.
Caller:         My daughter said you have arranged to take them in
Me:            I am sorry your daughter has not contacted me
Caller:        She said she has rung you every day and left messages on your
answer phone but you are ignorant and  have  not replied.
Me:           Sorry you daughter is not telling the truth. I am in almost 24/7 and
my answer phone was only on for a couple of hours last Thursday

I think mum is now going to have words with the daughter. (nice girl, not)
What amazes me however is the fact that mum made the daughter give her my phone number, so surely she knew she would be found out. Also we are not talking of a young girl her the daughter is 32.

I am fed up the lines all look in perfectly in line on the bit I am typing on

I( know, I wonder if anyone can advise me how to answer fictitious phone calls and return calls to fictitious messages on the answer phone that was not turned on.

They do, The mother did tell me more but it was not really related to the cat issue.

I must get a Chrystal ball.

I was going to ring the daughter and ask what she was playing and lying about ringing me. Unfortunately when she told me a few weeks ago that she was going to keep them I took all her details off  my records.

The peeps who live opposite my old family home have never made their son move out, and he's never wanted to either ..... he's now in his 50s

Gill's right though, people in their 30s are often still living at home as its impossible if you're a first time buyer to save enough money for a deposit and rent somewhere at the same time  :(  Me and o/h are in exactly that situation ourselves, but there's no way I could face living with my folks again, much as I love 'em!

She is not living at home.  To be honest I would not find it weird for anyone at any age to be living with mum/dad.
Very often circumstances control where we live. Also many people actually enjoy living in the family unit, especially if the parents realize that the adult child has their own life to live and does not interfere.
