Had a phone call earlier about some ferals that needs sorting and places found for them :tired: The lady was lovely and has been feeding them on a regular basis but I think her hubby is getting a little fed up of them messing everywhere :tired: Anyway, 2 are only about 9 months old and today she'd managed to trap one who's a grey tabby :Luv: :Luv: He is absolutely stunning :Luv: :Luv: She's going to try and get the brother and then I'm contemplating putting these two either up at the stables or speaking nicely to the farmer where the other ferals have gone :evillaugh: The mum cat will be spayed and she said she doesn't mind keeping her, she gets on well with her cats and goes into the house so I'm pleased about that one anyway. There is also a bruiser of a lad who's the dad cat......he's very naughty apparently and will attack even when feeding him so he's going to have to have the chop, be returned until somewhere on his own can be found or what I'm hoping is, he'll settle down and he can stay put. The other residents at this place are 6 kittens :sigh: They are 9 weeks old and need to be caught relatively quickly if I want them tamed down and handleable. I'm going to have a chat with someone and see if they can reside in their shed temporarily until something can be sorted out :sneaky:

Might be an idea to send that one to live with Mark at the B&B to deal with unruly guests :evillaugh:
Can't wait to see pics of them all :)

I'm sure that can be arranged, I'll send him down with Joyce should I Mark :evillaugh:
I'll get some piccies of the grey one later, he's had the chop today so he's a little wary ;)
-
It must get to th stage, Dawn, where you don't want to answer the phone. I get like that around bill paying time. :shify:
-
It's been a nightmare the last couple of weeks for some bizarre reason and talking to the one of the VN's today, she said they've not had anyone enquiring about kittens lately either.........there must just be too many around at the moment :(
-
Here's a pic of the gorgeous lad :Luv: :Luv: I've found out this evening his name is Sprout :evillaugh:

I saw the title of this thread and thought........isnt that what she said last time and the time before
He is very handsome though ;D
-
Story of my life Gill :evillaugh: ;)
He is scrummy though, hopefully I'll have his brother tomorrow who will have to be neutered, and then I'm going to have a chat with the nice farmer to see if he'll give them a home along with the other 4 ;)

He can put willow in her place too!
Shame he wasn't here tonight. I have some really unpleasant people in. She complained after walking up the 1st flight about having to climb another flight!! - I said YOU DID ASK FOR THE ATTIC SEA VIEW ROOM!!!! - silly old be-atch :evillaugh:
BTW - he is stunning - any bengal in there?

You spoke to her?
Can she help at all. I think she said she spends a lot of time in London
She can bring a few down if you like but willow will terrorise them. I would love more - just have to wait - OH has mentioned "my" sanctuary again ;D
-
She left a voicemail on my mobile leaving her phone number but that was the one I accidently deleted :censored: Hopefully she'll get in touch again once she receives your message about what a klux I am ;)
-
Sprout's a little stunner!
-
:Luv: love the name too

Did you not get my PM with her mobile & landline numbers?
I will PM them again
Edit - have sent you her number again. I think I PM'd you your own phone number before?

You even gave me the dialling code

I thought I'd let you figure that out for yourself :P ;)

I'll try and get a better pic of him later when he's more relaxed, he is a stunner and is so much like Otis, only darker in colour :Luv: :Luv: I do have a soft spot for the grey ones and so much more when they are feral. He's not a nasty feral, he seems quite shy but I think in time he would come round, if he was staying :blow kiss:
-
Only took me a week :waiting:
-
  :cuddle: bless ya ;)

Sprout's brother has been caught this morning  The lady rang at 8.30 and came over to drop him off. He is now in the vets having his nuts lobbed off :heeee heeee: He's a tabby/white and he's called Mitts, he looks sooooo sweet bless him, and the lady did say he will nuzzle your hand now and again when he's being fed :Luv: :Luv: I can't wait to reunite him with Sprout as they're always together and must be missing each other. Over the weekend, I'm going to try and use my charms on the farmer to see if he'll give them a home ;)
Whilst in the vets I asked Manuel about the little kitten that the vet nurse had taken home with her, he said he's doing well but still wheezing and has lost an eye :'( He sees the kitten regularly when he goes to her house and he said he should recover okay :Luv:
-
Aww he is adoreable shame you can't find a home with someone who knew how to tame ferals down as I think in time him and his brother could be qutie happy having lots of cuddles from someone
-
Yay....glad they will be re-united soon ;D......
Sounding like other kitty has landed on his/her feet and mending well also.... :)
-
He really is stunning! Wow!
-
Meant to post earlier but forgot :-[ Mitts has been reunited with his brother but seems very frightened as yet so not took any pics but will do once he settles down.
Kelly, if I had the room and the time, I would keep them here and have a go myself........they are both gorgeous boys and I'm sure in time will come round. The farm where I'm thinking of getting them on is fabulous for ferals, it's right out in the country with acres and acres of land.........perfect for any cat in fact. The problem I've got at the moment is, I'm being inundated with cats and kittens and there's literally nowhere for them :'( I have a few that need monitoring and ongoing vet assessments so those will be stuck here for the forseeable future and these will be taking up room, time and money as well. So being sensible, I need to try and rehome any that I've got placements for which at this moment is the feral ones. I just wish things could be different and I had the room and the money to keep them here indefinitely until I've tamed them down, but sadly I haven't :'( Wherever they go though, they will have a fab life :)
-
Had another phone call from this lady this morning telling me she had got 4 of the kittens in her kitchen :tired: She informed me they seemed quite relaxed but wanted to bring them over :censored: God knows where they're going to go but I suppose I'll have to squeeze them in :-: I was hoping to get these sorted next week but it's just happened a bit sooner than planned :notlisten:
-
Only just seen this . He's gorgeous isn't he. Is he a true tabby all over ? I rarely see them although my neighbour has one called spooky . great name for a cat huh!? ;D

Yes he is, he is a little beauty :Luv: :Luv:
Well I'm a little peed off to say the least, she phoned up earlier to say she'd now managed to get all 6 kittens   When she got here, she'd mentioned that she'd got me some cat food as well......which was very nice of her, 6 bloody tins of Morrisons :sneaky: That is really going to help towards feeding the 5000 :tired: On top of that, one of the kittens has a really poorly nose :'( Not sure what the hell it is, but it's not very nice so Monday it's a nice visit to see Uncle Sean >:(
-
Here's a couple of pics of the babies.......I'm sooo worried about that little ones nose though :owwww:

Aw! Aw! Aw!!! :cccooorrr:
That's it! I'm packing my bags and moving to Wales! :oolala: I want ALL of them, please Aunty Dawn. :ok:
The wound on the little one's nose looks nice and pink. I expect Uncle Sean's got some magic Sore Nose cream for him.
Crickey! Is that the time? :waiting:
Nitey nite!
-
Aw bless them all they are gorgeous......poor kitties nose does look sore tho :(
Hopefully he/she will be all better in no time :Luv:
-

Poor baby :ahh:

Sadly I think it is :'( The nose looks to be snout shaped so whatevers happened, he's gone with hell of a bang, I'll update as soon as Sean's seen him :)
-
Mags, :thanks: for sending the Profender, I've just used it on the feral boys as one was coughing up worms   and I didn't fancy trying to get a tablet down them :scared:
-
The poor babe must be riddled with them :(
-
Hope your vet trip went ok today with the little one with the poorly nose. I can't seem to forget him as his nose looks so sore. Poor baby. Hope the nice Dr Sean has made him feel better and the prognosis is good.

I'm taking him shortly.......I'll let you know how it goes later.
-
Fingers crossed for this little one. xx
-
Ohhhh i want him i want him he is gorgeous have you had any joy with his brother ?
-
His nose has been checked and could possibly be broken but if it is nothing can be done basically. He's had a Convenia injection and I'm not sure what the other jab was. The nose is extremely swollen and slight infection there but hopefully should be okay. There is a possibility he will have a snout nose but he'll still be gorgeous anyway :Luv: :Luv:

Not sure which one you're on about :shify: I've got both the older brothers now and both have been neutered, I'll be ringing the farmer later to see if he'll take them, if not, they'll be going up to the stables tomorrow.
-
The gorgeous Sprout has just let me give him a big fuss :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: He was eating some Sardines in tomato sauce at the time but it's a start :Luv: :Luv:
-
Aw bless the little babe with the sore nose......snout or no snout he's gorgeous :Luv:
-
Spoke to the farmer this morning and he's quite happy to take on Sprout and Mitts :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: At least that will be another 2 down that will have a fab life :Luv: :Luv: The other ferals have settled down really well but he said all they get are quick glimpses. They are eating all the food that's put down for them and I'm sure in time, he'll see more of them :)
-
Great news Dawn......so pleased they have landed on their paws :Luv:
-
Aw, fantasic, Dawn! :yesss:
Just in case your farmer doesn't know, I hear the cost of cat food can be off set against tax by farmers, is it's classed as Pest control expenses. ;)

I will tell him........I'm trying to persuade him to take another couple as well so this may go in their favour :evillaugh: Sprout and Mitts are going tomorrow sometime but he's going to give me a bell tonight concerning the other 2 I've mentioned :innocent: He's probably thinking I'm a cheeky princess but who cares if they get a good home out of it ;) He only wanted 4 which has now gone up to 6 and hopefully will go up to 8 :evillaugh: He is pleased with them though, he said since he's released them, he hasn't seen any rats or mice so at least they're earning their keep :Luv: :Luv:
-

Dawn, I think that farmer is going to be knee deep in moggies before long. :evillaugh: :evillaugh: You could always offer a standing order service. One a month for 12 months or your money back.
Great that things are working out for the others, though. :wow: Perhaps this farmer may even spread the word amoung his pals? :shy:
-
and on that farm they had eight cats, e i e i hope :evillaugh:
-
Sprout and Mitts are now settling in their new home :Luv: I took them up earlier on this evening and have now also persuaded Huw to take on another couple :evillaugh: It turns out they've got 27 acres of land so a fair bit of hunting ground for these babes........just perfect for my little terrors :Luv: :Luv:
-
:yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy:
It just keeps getting better & better ;)

Wonderful news.
