I need some advice! :)
I have been looking on the Manchester Gumtree for houses to rent and of course can't resist looking in the pets section. A lady had posted an advert saying she is having to rehome her (gorgeous!) Birman kittens because of an allergy - I sent her an email with some info on Petal Cleanse and a link to it, and gave her some info on the allergy tablets I take for my cat allergy (which has gone away alot now :) ) and where to get them cheap online etc.
She has replied to me today saying that it is her bf with the allergy, he is taking the same tablets but it makes his chest so bad he can hardly speak - she said she will try the Petal cleanse for now and it is upsetting her that she will have to get rid of the kittens.
I said I would ask for more help anyone can offer on here for allergies - I don't know much about it as the tablets work for me and I have never had to look any further.
Anyone know of any more tips or products?

Lose the boyfriend??!! :shify:

I dont think there is anything other than anti histamines and petal cleanse :-:
Has she asked the breeder if they can go back, assuming its proper breeder.

If the kittens were from a reputable breeder then it will be in the kitten's contract that they must go back to the breeder if the couple cannot keep them and that the kittens must not go to a rescue.

I'm sure the boyfriend will survive as my white girl Ellie and Tigger both give me really bad asthma attacks (even when using petal cleanse and permanently on anti-histimines) and I am still alive and kicking. He might even be one of the lucky people whos allergy gets better as he lives with them longer (one of my friends used to be allergic to her cat but is fine now).
Regular baths (for the cats!!) will help keep dander down and a good quality hoover with HEPA filter will as well.
Petal Cleanse does take a while to work. You can get other anti-allergy wipes in PAH as well.

My birmans hate getting wet and if I put water into a watering can and spill some Franta moves quicker than I ever seen him.........he was either given a bath once or its a birman thing!!

My OH has a mild alergy too - he won't take tablets though. :tired:
