Title: smidgen
Post by: blackcat on July 13, 2007, 15:55:57 PM
I know I mentioned some time ago about an aby cross kitten I am getting at the end of the month. I now have photos of him and have actually worked out which of the five kittens I am adopting. He is staying with his mum until he is 12 weeks old as his mum fretted for her kittens last time she was separated from them and he is now being spoilt rotten by his mum, his auntie and his slaves. His name is presently smidgen because he has a wee white mark on his back. but here are some pix for you to slather over until he arrives and i can upload some more .......

I gather it was not a planned parenthood - the queen simply got out - mistakes happen to the best breeders occasionally. ;)

Thanks PB he really is rather cute isn't he. Will look forward to his arrival and finally having a user for all the cat paraphernalia I seem to have aquired since discovering on-line shopping (which is much more diverse and interesting here than in the antipodes  :evillaugh:

He is gorgeous  :Luv:

His name is presently smidgen because he has a wee white mark on his back.
Will he not be keeping his name then?  I must admit I normally prefer 'human' names but I quite like Smidgen  :)

I prefer not to name a cat until I know it. But as you say, Smidgen is a lovely name... so he may keep it. My other cat (pending successful home inspection tomorrow) will be Esther. So was thinking Biblical........ or possibly Senegalese (if I can just find my lonely planet to Senegal in all the boxes), but yes, they usually get human names, Bob, Sofie, Reynard, Claudius, Pavarotti, Sarah, Hecate, Tabitha, and so on the list goes - god I must be getting old to have had so many cats!! There have also been Cinders (for the black toes on his white sox) and Serendipity (because I had not intended to buy a cat that day), so there is no knowing really.... But Smidgen is nice, isn't it  :Luv:
