Oh wonderfull!   ;D
It wont affect insurance as they will just exclude it. Im with m&s and have no qualms with their service. They have just put prices up but they offer the best cover out of all the companies. To get the equivilent with petplan it would cost me more so although bumping up the premiums has annoyed me im sticking with them.

I'm happy with my petplan policy.

The only potential problem is that the insurance company and the rescue might not agree on whether the pre-existing condition is a factor in any new condition.  I think pre-existing conditions can be only too easily used as an excuse for them not to pay up if there's any way they can get away with saying it has some effect on the new condition.  Hopefully that won't happen and you should have no problem with anything totally unrelated.

Been having a look at cat insurance I have found Tescos is offering £4000 cover for £7.75 per month with £50 excess.

Has anyone had any problems with Tescos or heard of any?

Or can anyone recommend a company to us?

AXA or petplan (if you ring them they have a cat plan that offers 6k a year)

I've just moved Bertie to Axa - they are offering up to £7k of cover for about £6 a month - PetPlan wanted £8 for similar cover.

Hi Berties
I have just gone on to AXA and for my kitten Beau they want £178.01 annual premium, that is over £14 month, Tesco's is £7.75 for £4000 cover

My pedigrees aged 13 at the time cost me £14 each with M&S and then they doubled it, so moved to AXA and they now cost just under £10. But price went up just after I moved.........phewwwwww.

Being yours is a kitten thats probably 20 yrs cover and I dont think its a bad price for the level of cover that AXA give.

I know, it's good, isn't it ... none of mine cost me more than £7 a month though - possibly because they're all moggies?
