Esther's babies are now just over 3 weeks old and getting bigger by the day - Esther's a great mum and a really lovely cat. Here's a few pics. The babies' names are Shady (the grey), Smudge (silver tabby), Leo (dark tabby) and Tiger-Lilly (tortie). (Sorry their room looks such a mess - they're not in a cat pen, but in a converted room - hence that the walls are a bit crumbly!!)

Shady is gorgeous - he's like a little Koala Bear ;D
PS - Denise, did you see the messages from blackcat "hello from kent" - in the welcome section?
She is moving to Chatham next month and will be looking for an older cat ;D

Hi Tiggy's Mum, Yes they're mahoosive, especially Leo - they may be 4 weeks old (will have to check, although not sure of exact date of birth!) - but compared to Flora's lot (she had 9) they look sooo big! They're not eating solids yet and have just started to wobble about, so not older than 4 weeks - Mum is feeding them 24/7!!
Thanks Mark, I'll look on the welcome pages - still got gorgeous Frank - he's 1 years old so a baby really, but so loving.

Hi Michelle - would love to rehome Esther with one of the kittens, but as they're 4 and we only rehome kittens in pairs may not look likely - however, a lady who has previously rehomed an Anim-Mates cat may have one of the kittens (as she already has a young cat) but at the moment it's not confirmed. They are gorgeous though and Esther is really lovely.

Ah it would be nice if Ester did get homed with one of her babies - i always think its so sad when Mummy goes off on her own :'( :'(

Michelle, some mum cats prefer to be on their own, the one I had would have happily disowned them at 5 weeks had she not been kept in a room with them, and wasn't at all bothered when they were rehomed (done in two lots though).

Yes i know some Mummys are like that.
My Issey was the opposite, there was no way i took have taken her babies away from her.
Even now, almost 3yrs on, she still knows they are her babies - its so sweet

My last foster Beauty was like that, consequently we managed to home her and her two remaining kittens together - which was brilliant! Esther is a great mum but I'm sure she'll be fine - she seems that she loves a fuss from humans, so as long as someone is gving her that then I'm sure she'll be happy! Got a few more weeks with her babies - she may get fed up with them when they really start pelting around!
