Does eating flies give you worms or is that an old wives tale? My lot have eaten loads over the last few days and im wondering whats going on in their guts! :sick:

Well i wouldn't think that it was particularly good for them ...i have been told that eating insects and birds etc is what causes worms ??

I don't know about flies but we all know eating fleas does. Although I suppose in theory it would be possible if a fly landed on poo that had flea eggs in it and an egg attached itself to the fly then a cat ate the fly.

I decided to look it up anyway, should have done that in the first place :innocent: and found out that yes flies can carry worms/eggs :sick:
Houseflies can transmit intestinal worms, or their eggs, and are potential vectors of diseases such as tuberculosis.
