Do NOT use GERMOLENE on your pets and animals!!! My cat Felix, 8 1/2, died last month because there was NO WARNING on the cream tube, box or leaflet insert!
-
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Felix :(
I was aware that germolene shouldn't be used on any part of the cat that they can lick. Sadly as it is a human medication there will be no warnings on the packaging relating to animals.
My heart goes out to you at this terrible time.

It is highly toxic even when applied to pet's skin.
There's also nowhere to say it is a purely human medication.

I’m sorry for your loss, Paul. That must have been a shock. Thanks for the warning.
If a product is not specifically licensed for veterinary use it’s always best to check with your vet whether it’s safe or not. Anything put on the skin is likely to be ingested.

Very sorry for this sad news and thanks to you for the prevention.
