I finally got round to growning Max some cat grass ...... and he went absolutely crazy for it! I had to stop him munching too much as I didn't want to have to clean up piles of sicky grass :evillaugh:
I'll try to get a piccy at the weekend, I'm actually quite pleased I managed to be green fingered for once, so a resounding success :cheer:

Did you grow this indoors or outside? wouldnt mind growing some for mine so the question is (sorry) where did you buy it (the seeds) and what compost should i use? Please :)

I bought this one off ebay, it was called Katzengrass so must be German, and its all ready for you in the plastic tray, all you have to do is water it! I nearly managed to kill it off, as it gave no indications as to how much water they need (which is lots by the way!!), and it grew in about a week. Mine grew indoors, I kept in on the window ledge in our downstairs toilet, as its the only room Mr Max doesn't go in as the door stays shut lol!
It looks really good though, quite lush and obviously very tasty!
I'll check on ebay and see if I can post the link to what I bought, although it was a while ago :)

Zooplus sell it too, i have just grown some for my lot but they say the lawn is better, typical!
Most garden centres sell cat grass seed, or you can pick the grain out of rabbit food, thats what it grows from. I think CP HQ give free grass Ela can confirm that :-:

Is the normal seed easy to grow? Do you just put some soil in a pot and away you go?
I'm a bit :censored: when it comes to anything to do with plants and growing things, hence the appeal of just watering and away you go
